Arkansas is really good at getting after the QB but nothing else
Sack stats can overshadow being undisciplined in your assignments. Your ends can get up the field but then the QB just steps up into the pocket and gets a huge gain. You might get a sack one play but you give up a huge 3rd and long scramble on the next.

You serious? Bama burned his arse on a couple of long TD runs. He has nothing but whiffed on tackles all year. He lost his spot as a starter before last year.
Drew Sanders is only good linebacker Arkansas has left.

He did have three picks against Ole Miss two years ago.

Well, good news for Arkansas fans - State's QB is incapable of scrambling.

Hasn't McGlothern been really good?
In the time I've watched their games, McGlothern's INT numbers aren't really indicative of how well he's played. He's probably been better than their other corners, but I wouldn't say he's been really good

This is why our team slogan is “wait until next year/HC/coordinator/recruit.”
Arkansas would be college footballs biggest catfish of 2022 but, and thank God for it, Jimbaggy said hold my 3 plays.

So basically Arkansas either sacks you or gives up a touchdown
Arkansas is the kid on madden that just runs all blitz every play.

Still a danger to get hit with HB draws

He's tied for 2nd in the conference in tackles with 46. I only watched a few minutes of the Arkansas vs Alabama game, and he was making plays during the series I watched.

They rack up the sacks, which combined with overall numbers, tells us that Odom is a moron who needs to quit exposing his secondary so much.
It did end up burning them in the Bama game - only one sack, and tons of big plays because once the runners broke to the next level there was little help.
On a side note it did end up having the Bama offense on the field for short stretches (that did end in points) - in most games that probably leads to Arkansas' offense getting more points late (they had 85 plays - 51 runs - against Bama), but Bama had the depth to get the stops needed in the 4th.

I was pretty surprised to see Georgia with only 6 sacks on the season so far.
The playbook’s opening up Saturday, October 8th, at 3:30 PM.

Go watch him in other games and count the missed tackles he had. His missed tackles have led to Arkansas defense giving up 4-5 TDs.
He can't make open field tackles and made terrible reads on defense that allowed Arkansas zero chance to win in the fourth quarter against Bama.

We hardly ever blitz, and opposing QB's game plans against us have been to get the ball out super fast. Not many sack opportunities.

New to Foosball? Our secondary has been weak for a while AND we couldn't pressure the QB with a weak DL, which gave QBs more time to see all the wide open WRs.
Focus was placed on improving DL & adding more blitzing to force QB to throw early... which makes sense unless your DBs line up 12 yards off in short yardage or don't even cover a WR.
I guess it could be worse...

How many 5-star defensive linemen does it take to sack a QB?

Really no reason to make excuses for a specific defensive number if the defense as a whole is working.
UGA isn't giving up very many points or yards. Really doesn't matter if they pressure the passer to get to that point or not.
We can try to explain why if you're interested, but that's not an excuse because the defense is working... we don't have anything to excuse.
For example, Bama's defense has only forced 3 turnovers this year. Does it matter? No... their defense is doing really well. One single stat category is meaningless.
