Well he actually has a titled OC now so you would think he has taken more of a step back now but I think we all know its still going to be his offense. Hard to tell sometimes how much of an OC is just a "named title" at times.

I'm sure Auburn fans can share that frustration

judging from the rest of his career, itd be easy to say he rode Jameis to that championship.

I mean its fairly clear they both helped each other. There are many coaches that would look meh if you took away the best player they have ever had over a 10 year or so era.

Yes and called the passing plays. Nall called the ground game. I didn't say a word about the year he took over for Tony Franklin, but I will say he was part of the problem that year as none of the other offensive coaches bought into that system,

Are you telling me Brady wasn't the passing coordinator last year?

Again, this is about Steele and to diminish what he's done at AU is nothing but sour grapes because he wasn't great at LSU. All I did was point out another coach in a similar position that coached at both schools.

Yeah, we may never actually know. If we start throwing the ball down the field I will assume it's Chad and not Gus finally.

And it continues to be a dumb comparison.

Sorry if I'm not going to blame E for your trash offense in which he was only the quarterbacks coach.

FWIW I agree that its hard to judge Steele on one bad year though.

Especially when that "bad year" was as bad as the one Aranda just had.

Fair enough. I'll leave it at that. I didn't pick this fight. All I did was defend our DC who is pretty much universally loved at Auburn.

If he doesn't like this comparison, you could always go with Coach O @ Ole Miss vs Coach O @ LSU There are dozens more as well...I'm sure he's just trolling

Or Jeff Grimes or Dameyune Craig etc.
And that's just Auburn to LSU and vice versa. Tons of retreads this year in the SEC.

The point obviously escaped you!

Reread my post! The gent who created these coordinator rankings obviously likes Florida but he also ranked the Teams and the two do not correlate. Period. Anyone with half a brain can see that.

No harm in Picking Florida # 1 Team (ranked) and # 1 OC/DC (Coordinators) that it’s an opinion! Guy likes Florida in 2020.

The ridiculous change from ranking some teams and their coordinators just won’t flush because the load is TOO MUCH.

Who in this site outside of an A&M fan would rank TAMU # 3?

He hosed Bama too!
Not to mention LSU!
Exalted were Arkansas OC/DC

Another worthless pile of preseason crap!

Good job McFly defending this pile of BS

Kudos

Yes because they are two different types of rankings, they don't need to correlate.

Wrong!

With the parity in CFB at the Top they do need to correlate.

It doesn't matter how much parity there is right now. One is ranking a roster/coaches and the other is just ranking the two coordinators.

In theory a team could have the best coordinators in the nation and the worst roster. Two very different rankings.

Lsu has 2 coordinators who have won National championships at different times. 8 seems low

Hey Rocky, process this “theory I have”

If I were an Aggie CFB Fan of a team and a pair of coordinators who got bent over and stumpfkd 50-7 & my humanity “scalded” by a hot load from LSU, I’d be tickled to see these same overrated overpaid coaches of that CURBSTOMPING ranked at # 3 in the Poll next year in their 3rd year coaching.

Just a theory I have!
Send us another hyena emoji, loser!

50 7

Fisher’s massive contract is keeping his seat cool in College Station, but it’s time for Texas A&M to show something in Year 3 of his tenure. The Aggies have yet to secure a signature win under Fisher — unless you count the 7 overtime victory over an LSU team that lost to Alabama 29-0 — and were absolutely torched in their latest SEC game after losing 50-7 in Baton Rouge. Fisher was hired to end embarrassing conference losses to the league’s elite teams and elevate the Aggies to their level. If he can’t do that in Year 3 with a favorable schedule that drops Clemson and Georgia, it will be time to turn up the heat on Fisher’s seat.

Coaches Hot Seat rankings are a great read!

No signature win save 74-72, then utterly humiliated by an elite team !!!

Your position is total BS and Smoke Rocky!

Just like my assessment of Jimbo Fisher who claims to be just like Saban (but he’s not)

This list has Sarkisian at 9. He coordinated some great offenses at USC. Turned around a bad program at Washington. He had a prolific offense at Alabama last year. I’d think those things count for something higher than 9th. I guess they’re holding his falcons tenure against him?
