SEC coordinator rankings by PorkSammich
Compare Bratton’s Team Rankings (Left) with his Coordinator Rankings (Right)
#1 Florida ====Ranking 1
#2 Georgia ========== 6
#3 Alabama ========= 12
#4 LSU ============= 8
#5 Texas A&M ======== 3
#6 Tennessee ======== 4
#7 Kentucky ========= 7
#8 Auburn =========== 5
#9 Ole Miss ========== 14
#10 Mississippi State === 10
#11 South Carolina ===== 9
#12 Missouri ========== 11
#13 Arkansas ========= 2
#14 Vanderbilt ========= 13
You gotta call BS on several of these rankings!
Ex. 1: TAMU @ # 3
Ex. 2: LSU has two Nat’l Champs and Coach E is vastly underrated.
Draw your own conclusions!

One is ranking coordinators and the other is ranking teams
This isn't very hard

Yes and those are not coordinators

Has anyone ever thought that Golding is nothing more than a yes man to Saban. I think KS and Jeremy while following Saban's lead definitely were their own men. They stood up to Saban from time to time and Saban respected them for it. Golding is a young guy who is simply a yes man for what Saban wants to do.
I think its very hard for a head coach to coach one side of the ball and be an effective head coach at the same time.
Who was the last coach to win a title that wasn't a CEO type?

I’m confident White will be moving up from #10 in the near future.

Hard to answer because there are varying to degrees but probably Jimbo Fisher in 2013. We know he has a very heavy influence on the offense and was listed as the Offensive Coordinator on that team.

That was going to be my question. Didn't know how involved he was in the offense as HC.

I could agree with that, and judging from the rest of his career, itd be easy to say he rode Jameis to that championship.

Steele was blessed with a lot of talent on that Auburn defense last year. I don't think he is the best coordinator in the league. Very pedestrian at LSU

What does that have to do with the job he's done at Auburn? Ensminger was a steaming pile of horseshite the year he filled that role at Auburn.
And he wasn't blessed with shite. He had a pretty big part in recruiting those players. Or is recruiting not a part of the job anymore?

How so? DC at LSU not good. DC at Auburn very good. OC at Auburn horseshite. OC at LSU very good.

Judging someone based off of an interim role isn't really fair.

Emsinger and Sark led the top 2 offenses in the conference and #3 was closer to #10 than either of the top 2.
I question this list. ;)

He wasn't interim. He and Nall called that offense the entire 2003 season after Petrino left and somehow squandered 3 first round NFL picks in the backfield.

Why was Nall singularly listed as OC then?

Who called plays last year for LSU? He and Nall both called the plays in 2003. But what do I know about my own team?
Point being, Steele has been the best DC we've had in over a decade. It doesn't matter what he did at LSU the one season he was there. He's very highly regarded in that position because what he's accomplished at Auburn.

Steve, as the OC, called the plays for LSU last year.
Steve was Auburn's interim OC IN 2008. In 2003, he was in his first year as the quarterbacks coach.
Apparently nothing.
