Well that's generous
yeah even counting students, no way in hell are they coming up with 70,000 people in oxford.

Google says the 2022 population of Oxford is 26k. OP's list is shite.

Are they California Republicans fleeing the shitty (literally if you've been to his hometown San francisco) governor?
Or are they democrats trying to save money on their taxes?
From working with many of them in Austin it's a mix of both. Some want out of that progressive shithole and others are dems coming here to save money yet not connecting the dots and continuing to vote for the same stupidity they just fled.

As long as we’re making stuff up, I’ll say Atlanta should be known as the Soweto of America.
Yeah, I’m gonna start calling Memphis the “Malibu of the East” bc they both are next to bodies of water

Athens-Clarke County (city & county merged years ago) are actually part of the Greater Atlanta area (Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Athens/Clarke), although it's 75 miles from Atlanta.
Athens is not part of the Atlanta MSA, its part of the CSA. MSA is what the OP is basing his statistics on.

Being as big as it is and growing as fast as it is, that is nuts.

Let's just call them what they are, campuses in the middle of cattle fields.

These are metro/micro areas… includes the entire county.

That's because this thread is about METRO populations (or Micropolitan populations in the case of Oxford and Starkville), not CITY populations. The other very similar thread I posted to this is for the CITY limit population growth of all the SEC cities. Try reading the actual title of the thread first before crapping on it.
P.S. The Oxford, MS micropolitan area population includes the entire population of Lafayette County as well as an additional adjacent county which is where the roughly 71,000 population figure comes from

Yes, I once met some people who lived outside of Memphis and they introduced me to the term "Memfrica".

I was introduced to “Memfrica” by Westlake Austin peeps(one was drew breese’s backup qb). I was also introduced to Johnny Rebel by a BSEE from frickin’ Rice University. Texas does have problems. I love Memphis as stated 1000x on this board.

An absolute shithole that has the best history of all of America. Get lost. Memphis isn’t just Elvis. I suggest you go to sun studio and understand how all of music as you know it started there, then have some ribs.

Almost every current downtown ghetto in major cities today was once a thriving beautiful neighborhood. I can call a spade a spade. Memphis has a great history of music — it is also one of the most dangerous shitholes in America. Thanks for the history lesson though.
