Texas basically was gifted the championship game this year. Who they get remains to be determined.
Funny how when SEC teams are dropping like flies to the same teams Texas will be playing, if Texas actually wins those games then they were “gifted a championship”.
I mean, would Texas’s schedule be tougher if they had Tenn other than Arkansas this year? Or Vandy over A&M? You can’t have it both ways. Either SEC schedules are really tough or the conference as a whole is overrated this year. Time will tell.

They'll continue to move the goal post for us. We can go 16-0 this year and they'll still say we suck and worst team ever to win the NC.

You’ve only played one conference game against the worst team right now. Yet, you guys keep talking like it’s your team out there in conference play playing today. Stop begging for respect until you go get some skins on the wall, and understand when you guys are criticizing teams that lose, that wasn’t your team out there that beat them.
Your fan base over rely on transitive property arguments. If Team A beats Team B, then Team C is a greater than Team B bc they beat Team A. And Team D is the best bc they beat Team C last year. Blah blah. Rinse and repeat everyday.

You have a lot of “likely W’s” for one of the most bipolar teams of the last 90 years. Yeah, I know, new coach new year, what does the past have to do with it. Mindset. Until it’s officially changed by production, they still are who they were.

I was thinking that maybe this could happen. And then I see Texas goes to Vandy. That little QB for Vandy will have some fun.

Your predictions are as good as your football team

I think this has been A&M’s issue with Texas all along:
Whenever A&M won the conference the Texas media machine pumped the “conference is down” narrative because they controlled the conference. This was back in the SWC days. We didn’t win enough in the Big12 to matter.
But we always knew having Texas come to a league they didn’t control was the best plan and it’s why A&M refused to tag along with Texas after 2012.
Now here we are. Yes. We will play them on a national stage, in a game they cannot control the narrative over. If A&M loses, so be it. But if they come out and drub Texas on a national stage, it will shake Texas in a way I don’t think they are prepared for.
The “all time wins are king” narrative will sound very hollow to media producers that just saw a team whip their arse in a national playoff.
Now that said, A&M has to walk the walk, not talk the talk. But if you believe they were playing lights out yesterday against Missouri, magnify that by 10. That’s the level of intensity they will be dialing into by the time the play Texas.
Texas has an awesome team, not taking anything away from them, but A&M absolutely can beat them. Full stop.
We will see in November. Gigem.

There is no shaping this season. Its unprecedented. The only thing aTm has in its favor is Elko. He’s old school and likely will have them more focused than other teams.
But, we. Shall. See.

You're just angry because UGA prison-raped the war-buzzards today.

What conference will aTm be moving to though? We all know they have an issue revenue sharing with the Tsips, so they bolting to join up with the Texas techs or the ACC?

And I won’t speak for Texas, but the Aggies absolutely are dialed in and will likely win their games.
I see A&M defense pretty much stopping the run of every team they play. Their defensive front is downright nasty. That combined with an offense that can control TOP will put a lot of pressure on offenses to execute in the passing game at a high level.
The big question about A&M is the QB situation. You never know what you might get. If A&M is on, they can destroy you. Or they may sputter.
But with their weak schedule they absolutely could run the table.

We had issue with them having media offices from ESPN Austin and a channel dedicated to only Horn football. That was our main gripe. We wouldn’t play in a conference they controlled financially.
