A .594 overall W/L % with only 3 trips to the dance in 11 years does not scream highly as a top coach.

Please, in the list that I posted, can you can have an argument that backs up Barnes has a better resume? Is it Marshall? It maybe a push.

(And Barnes is a top 2 ranked coach in the conference and 15-20 in the nation). I think that is a fair ranking.

Wade, White and Davis are all too low. The end of the year rankings will prove it.

Pearl is above Barnes, that dude constantly does less with more talent than others. Also even though he cheated Wade should be higher.

I think when Musselman fills in all the blanks we will have some very good basketball again.

We are lacking size in the middle this year so it may be a tough go of it.

I'm glad he's here though.

It’s close.,,

Barnes
.655 W/L %
Conference Champion: 4 Times (Reg. Seas.), 1 Time (Tourn.)
NCAA Tournament: 24 Years (24-24), 1 Final Four, 0 Championships

Pearl
.659 W/L %
Conference Champion: 6 Times (Reg. Seas.), 3 Times (Tourn.)
NCAA Tournament: 10 Years (15-10), 1 Final Four, 0 Championships

Pearl may get the nod for being 2 ranked in conference.

It’s obvious Cal is way ahead
.780 W/L %
Conference Champion: 17 Times (Reg. Seas.), 15 Times (Tourn.)
NCAA Tournament: 20 Years (56-19), 6 Final Fours, 1 Championship
NCAA Champion: 2012

Fact: In 2 years at LSU, Will Wade has won more SEC Championships and has been to more Sweet 16’s than the Arkansas basketball program has in the last 20+ years.

Fact we just fired a better coach than Wade and he never had to cheat to win

Calipari is without question the best coach in the conference. Elite coach and recruiter. I do find it interesting though that Barnes has beat him 6 out of the last 10 times they've met with Rick being at a severe talent disadvantage.

Edit: I'd be surprised if there were any other teams in the country who UK has a losing record to over their last 10 meetings. I think that speaks very highly of Barnes and what he's been able to do while at UT.

Will Wade and LSU lost two SEC games last season...TWO...and this yahoo’s article is showing him as the 9th best coach in the SEC ????
If he’s that far off on Wade, that casts doubts on any validity to this article and I don’t need to waste any more of my time reading further.

To own the series against UK/Cal since taking over is a huge deal. Especially with the huge talent advantage for UK.

Which final 4 coach would you put Wade above?

Bruce Pearl
Tom Crean
John Calipari
Ben Howland
Frank Martin
Rick Barnes

well..........
Last season’s SEC league results puts Will Wade ahead of ALL those coaches, so I’ll go with that.
