It's all about the coach infusing life into basketball programs. If MSU gets a Bruce Pearl type that can attract the right guys to play an exciting brand of basketball, MSU will be fine. Ben Howland basketball-at least the Ben Howland version I've seen at MSU these past few years-is boring.

The half filled Hump reminds me of the Cuonzo Martin years after we went from being one of the more exciting teams under Pearl to perhaps the most boring team in college basketball. Unwatchable non-functioning offensive basketball creates empty seats everywhere in the SEC minus maybe Kentucky.

Work will be done to BWA for some updates needed in the next couple of years

I wish we’d surround the court with students like Auburn. It’d make our atmosphere even better

I couldn’t agree more. The students are confined to a relatively small area.

Was it during those raucous Kim Anderson years?

Way too much money lost in donations if you give students tickets on the sides.



They are putting the students behind both baskets next year instead of in the corner.

Nowhere, really. Campus is old and landlocked and lacking parking in a big way. Only thing close to Stegeman would be the Ag Annex which 4H threw a total bitch fit over the idea of tearing down for the IPF (nevermind they would have gotten a brand new annex a block over out of the deal). Other option would be South Milledge but the reason we won’t build anything there is the complete lack of infrastructure for traffic down that way. The outdoor track needs to be redone but we are for some completely stupid reason beholden to the 5 Points residents who like to use the track to jog in the mornings and therefore can’t (won’t) touch that space, even to make it better for the track team

It's a shitty basketball arena but it has a ton of history - especially musical. That dwindled when the BJCC opened in Birmingham.

If you showed up on campus on 1969 and graduated law school in 1977 you would have been able to see these acts on campus.

That's pretty fvckin insane. The only major tour between 1969 and 1977 that didn't stop in Tuscaloosa was the Beatles, and that was mainly due to the fact that their last big tour years (1966) was right before Coleman opened in 1968.
