SEC Baseball Tournament, Second Round - Double Elimination Begins

Day two is here, and with it comes double elimination. Here are the results from yesterday’s single elimination games:
(6) Florida beats (11) Kentucky, 4-1
(10) Alabama beats (7) South Carolina, 9-3
(8) Georgia beats (9) LSU, 4-1
(5) Ole Miss beats (12) Auburn, 7-4
Here is today’s slate of games:

(10) Alabama beats (2) Tennessee, 3-2

Game starts at 6:30 am my time so I’m looking forward to catching the first hour of the game. I’m hoping to take off after lunch to catch the reminder of the games. Have a great day everyone.

UGA throwing the guy they threw against us on Friday night of our series. We had trouble with him that night and may have trouble with him today.

He's on short rest this time as he this past Friday and threw 86 pitches. Hopefully, he's not as effective and our guys are ready this time.

This is much like the SEC basketball tournament was this year.
I want to lose and go home. Just like basketball we already knew where we would be seeded in the real tournament.
Worked out well in basketball. Hope the same happens in baseball.

Dang, just saw Connor Prielipp will have Tommy John surgery on Thursday and will miss the rest of the 2021 season and the entire ’22 campaign.

If y’all want to lay down and guarantee our regional spot, fine by me.
Sullivan will be interesting second time facing y’all. I don’t think we have much of a choice but to throw him tonight, not many other starter options due to rest and injury. We are running on fumes as a squad right now but somehow managing to get by

I think they will be firmly in the discussion if they win but still up in the air. Kind of a hard call for committee with bid stealers, LSU, Georgia, and Bama.
We already know Arkansas, Tennessee, Vandy, Miss St, Florida, Ole Miss, and Carolina are in. Hard to see 10 SEC teams getting a bid so who gets the boot?
I think Bama needed to win today and UGA to lose last night to feel confident. With LSU still in contention and UGA now looking good, Bama may be sunk either way
