Have you attended a college baseball game outside of MS?
There are a grand total of 5 on campus venues for baseball that seat 8k+
State
Ole Miss
Arkansas
LSU
Tenner
That's it that's the list.
I like how you had to qualify on-campus and used the arbitrary figure of 8000 so you didn't have to include South Carolina, Florida, and Texas. All three of those have had max capacities greater than 8000. Alabama also has a max capacity of 8,500. Auburn's max capacity is just shy of 8000, so most of the SEC is at 8000 or greater. Nice post though

USC, with 12 national championships in baseball, has a field that seats only 2,500 people. In a place with perfect weather 12 months of the year.
Unless you play intramurals, students probably don't know it exists... But there's no other land outside the USC fortress campus. General public has to drive onto campus through the gates of security and then park in the pay structures.... If there's room with all the Student cars.

You caught us – we don't GAF about baseball.
Your loss, it's the most beautiful of American sports. We all love football best for its violence, but baseball is the poetry of sports.

Mizzou would win their division every year
Well yes, because they would be the only team in it. Everybody else in the SEC cares about baseball.

I actually used to be an MLB fan when I was little.
Went to games, learned to keep score, collected cards.
I think the 1994-95 strike took me out of it and I just didn't go back.
Never got into the college game, but I'll still watch a few random at bats in the postseason.
For example, when we were finally coming out of COVID I saw this live and it was fantastic (I always root for the SEC):

We obviously don’t give a shite. Our history shows that.

How would you take enrollment size to determine seating for a particular sport?

Is that a putting green under the batter's eye?
