Arky will probably get the Texas schools

I’m fine with this too. I’d rather have Ole Miss than anyone else but I get that there’s a pecking order of OG members first.

I highly doubt they have these groupings like that. It'll be more wide open across the board.

If you have five permanent opponents, that would leave ten to rotate, so you'd play 5 and 5

This. Keeps meaningful series intact and allows you to mix Texas in with some of the programs that actually give a shite about baseball.

SEC would be stupid not to have Texas and LSU play every year.
Ole Miss and State against LSU is way more entertaining than a series with Texas. Y’all will get Okie and A&M and like it.

I'm with you on that. Would be a dumb move.
I think LSU should have Texas and MS State as their permanent two.

We have developed an incredible baseball rivalry with Arkansas and now that shite will be over. They’ll give Ole Miss LSU and MSU as permanents. The OGs of SEC baseball blue bloods.

This. It’s by far and away my favorite series each season. I’ll hate to see it go but there’s no way we beat out State or LSU for that spot.

I want LSU & A&M. We won’t get those 2, but that would be my preference for perm’s. I’m thinking we will get 2 of A&M, OU, Arkansas & Missouri, but it doesn’t really matter to me.

With the 2/8 setup.. you play all the non-perms 8 times every 13 years.. so you still get a lot of series with all teams.. almost, not quite a home and home with all teams every 3 years. That’s actually pretty good imo.

This is dumb. This is the easiest and best way to do it:

16 teams in the SEC. Your 15 opponents are put into groups of 5.

Group A, B, and C

Year 1: Play A and B

Year 2: Play B and C

Year 3: Play C and A

You play everyone every 2 out of 3 years. That makes it easy to play at home against a team one season and on the road the next season. No long breaks between opponents.

Year 1 you play a team at home. Year 2 you play them on the road. Year 3 you don't play. Repeat.
