Ugh I was worried this was going to happen....

What dumpster fire does Auburn have in store for us in Austin this weekend?

Oh well I will be there on Friday with my hs homie who has never been to a UT baseball game.

SEC Baseball Rankings - April 14, 2025 - Updated

So what you're saying there, BigBro is that we just lost a hard fought series to a very good Georgia team and our RPI ranking fell from #1 all the way down to #1...

Gotta love SEC baseball.

Cut him some slack. He didn’t editorialize. He’s one of the good ones.

yes but everybody in the top 10 lost at least one game I believe..

as for Texas, the RPI doesn’t like us.. I saw one of the conference predictions have Texas at 26-4 in the SEC and 4th in predicted RPI with a 47-7 record

I think #1 RPI was a team 3 games behind us..

None of that makes sense to me.. so I just combine it all and average it out.. I figure it’s somewhere in the middle

I’m not sure how much any of it matters to be honest.. I feel like we’ll be in a regional with some combo of TCU, DBU, UTSA, UTRGV and Lamar.. and matched up with those same schools + A&M or LSU or Arkansas depending on how it all shakes out..

the only questions are.. who is hosting the regional and who is hosting the super.. but maybe I’m wrong..

With super conferences and not being able to play another conference team in regionals, there are only so many combinations that are possible and actually make sense ..

When you start going down the list it kinda falls into place because so many spots are blocked between the ACC and SEC

Is that due to the midweek losses? I’m not trying to be rude, but a genuine question.

2025 Missouri will go down as the worst SEC team in history. Halfway home to 0-30

I don’t really know to be honest.. I think our schedule was lighter than usual in non conference.. or teams were worse than expected.

UTSA is one of those 2 looses and is sitting at 23 RPI right now..we lost 8-7 in 12 innings.. so it’s a Q1 loss and shouldn’t be a big deal..

2 of our weekend series are really bad though.. Dartmouth is 285 and Santa Clara is 184.. Santa Clara is usually decent.

Idk the formula amd it shouldn’t play a big role either way, just interesting

It’s not even funny at how absurd the SEC is in baseball.

I know, someone needs to tell some of our fans that you can be beaten by anyone but mizzou in this league and it doesn't make you a bad team. Especially if it doesn't happen every week. We get swept once and our fans forget that we swept the two series before and played the number one team on the road as close as possible without winning the series.

The non serious baseball fan is melting his/her arse off

All Universities cannot be as noble as UT when it comes to coaching. However I do find it best for a person who makes such accusations upon other Universities coaches to look inward first before making themselves…. Well you know the saying.

There is I believe a stripper a small child and I think it was a spider monkey who want to say hello. Even if the false allegation against Beard were true I’d rather see that occur than a small child being bitten by a prostitutes spider monkey…

Have a blessed evening and a wonderful Tuesday.

I'm pretty sure it was a Capuchin Monkey, not a Spider Monkey. Let's try to get our facts straight when posting here.

I think it's fairly easy to figure, you've played 3 ranked series and 2 of the 3 were in friendly confines. AR is just the opposite 2 of it's 3 have been on the road. We don't get another ranked series at home until we play you in May. Just the way the schedules fell this year. You'll get the chance to prove you're the regular season champs, but like you said it's all about seeding then it's all about matchups.
