re: Lemonis fired

Heffner has made it abundantly clear he has zero interest in leaving. People have already offered him more money but he stayed put.

Perhaps Alcock can move back to Fridays. He obviously has talent. He also was good against Missouri.

Alcock didn’t pitch against Missouri. Adams pitched against LSU and got the only W in that series. He also pitched Saturday’s game against Missouri his first complete game. Adams was not taken out of the rotation he was only moved from the Friday slot.

Our only win against Tenn was when Adams started that game in the series against Liam Doyle. I think people seem to have forgottten maybe the coaches too? He also went against OU’s Friday night guy who’s slotted to be a top 10 draft pick and we won that game. 2 rough outings and people can’t remember his name LMFAO
I’m probably wrong. Everything I’m ready is the rotation is staying
My understanding is the rotation is Q, Adams, & Fay. They didn’t want to force Q up by 2 days with the Th, Fri & Sat series in BR. Once they got back to Fri, Sat Sun they’d move them. It will give Fay a few extra days to rest up, and keeps Q and A on schedule?

The guy yesterday for Bama had been abysmal for them.

Who really knows if he’s fully back on track now, but implying he’s abysmal for UA is WILD.

as for Texas, the RPI doesn’t like us..

Is that due to the midweek losses? I’m not trying to be rude, but a genuine question.
Does anyone know more about the injuries around Austin Morris and Moza?
This Freshman lefty is looking good. I’m impressed.
We’re back to crapping on the pitching? Everyone can easily look at pitchers ERA in SEC play that isn’t behind a paywall. It might surprise you, and you can’t look at Quick bc his appearance against TN isn’t in my mind a fair representation since he had the blister. He probably could’ve gotten away with it if we weren’t playing Tennessee too.
Conference only stats are really what should matter when assessing things. I’m not sure why people don’t use them more.
I will say that I saw Morris do something with his arm and hand in his 2nd inning last Friday that caught my attention. I asked my friend immediately if he saw it but his next 2 or 3 pitches his velo stayed up & I was told it was probably nothing.

I hope it’s nothing to do with his arm bc he was really looking good the last 2 appearances.
I guess I was right to feel like something might be going on.

“Riley Quick is listed as questionable heading into the Crimson Tide’s series v. No. 9 Oklahoma.

Adams stays at Friday, Alcock is listed as the Saturday starter. Sunday’s is TBA, so could still be Q.

Austin Morris is also questionable going into tomorrow.

@Tide1009”
He pitched 2 innings and I think his PC was fairly low. He only pitched 1 inning last Tuesday due to being sick. Maybe coming in from the bullpen during the weekend is the idea.
We saw some lineup changes during midweek do we think the starting rotation will change? Do we think that’s the reason Blackwood didn’t start yesterday?
Obviously couldn’t watch but should it have even been a game? I didn’t think North AL was supposed to be difficult?

Who’s worried about our offense? We started off so hot.

Pitching is a problem this year.

It might’ve been an issue Friday & Saturday, but not sure you can say it’s been an issue this season. The bats went dead on Sunday.
quote:

Rob Vaughn says starter Riley Quick had a blood blister on his hand that prevented him from throwing breaking balls tonight. Quick gave up five runs in two innings in his first loss of the season to Tennessee”

I think that might be the first time I’ve heard Coach use an excuse.

Adams is not a 90s guy, but he still locates his fastball and secondary pitches and he keeps batters in check.

Yea he is. I’ve watched him all Fall and Spring. He was siting 93-94 last weekend with top at 95. He’s been 90-93 most games. Whoever allowed a Texas kid out there in short sleeves needs to rethink it bc way too cold Thursday. He isn’t built like that so no clue why he did that.

Bob is going to do it again tomorrow I can feel it.
Adams getting the bullet straight back at his leg was scary. Justin is illness sick (not injury) and I missed what happened to Hodo.

Adams holding 93-94 top at 95 for a few innings with his 5 pitch mix will play well. Just need umps to not squeeze one pitcher but different zone for the home team. I think Quick is going to dominate tomorrow.
