Auburn should have already fired Butch, imo. Just no upward momentum.

OU was a member of another conference.

Really? I think Butch has done a damn good job there. Last year was rough (but the team wasn't bad) and this year it looks like a borderline regional host, plus the 2 CWS trips and 3 other regionals/supers.

This makes me sad. SC was once the preeminent baseball power east of the Mississippi, now it's just... there.

1. Wes Johnson has done some serious lifting to have us at that spot
2. Scott Stricklin wasted so much time and potential

A 3-year stretch of 7-23, 12-17, 12-17 will do that to you.

2019, 2021, 2022 (3 yrs)
31-57 (35%) SEC
93-79 (54%) Overall
1 NCAAT
0 region host
0 supers
0 CWS

2023-2025 (2+ yrs)
32-31 (51%) SEC
96-46 (68%) Overall
3 (likely) NCAATs
1 region host
1 super regional
0 CWS

Aint the best but its much more competitive

Not to nitpick but isn't LSU east of the Mississippi?

Also, since I heard about Joey pancake and Tanner English 1.2 million times when watching baseball in college I do get some pleasure seeing SC unexpectedly suck for the last decade. y'all were the evil empire to me after 2012.
