SEC Baseball Historic Question

Legitimately asking: has any SEC baseball team ever won 30 games vs SEC competition in a single season? I’d assume if anyone has it must be LSU, MSU, Vandy or Florida?
With the win over Texas last night, UGA reached its 30th SEC win and I’m trying to figure out if that’s a record or if we stand to break a record vs OU over the next couple of nights:
UGA wins vs SEC teams this year:
Arkansas - 3 (2 away, 1 neutral)
Auburn - 2 (2 away)
Florida - 2 (1 home, 1 neutral)
LSU - 3 (3 home)
Miss State - 6 (3 away, 1 neutral, 2 home)
Mizzou - 3 (3 home)
Ole Miss - 2 (2 away)
South Carolina - 3 (3 home)
Tennessee - 2 (2 home)
Texas - 2 (2 neutral)
Texas A&M - 2 (2 away)
Did not play: Alabama, Kentucky, Vandy
Have not beat: Oklahoma

I would think maybe that Vandy team that set the record for conference wins maybe, but IDK.

Looks like they won 29 total in 2013 between regular season and Hoover (did not play an SEC team in NCAA postseason)

I would say maybe them or Tennessee a couple of years ago. I think UGA has probably played more SEC games than any team ever with an All SEC Super and and All SEC side of the CWS bracket. Geez if Ole Miss would have taken the other bracket you guys might have played 50 games against SEC teams this season. That is bonkers.

On the flip side whats the worst SEC reg season record for a final 4 team? OU went 14-16 in conf play.

Yea several got close and I’m sure would have if not for bypassing in regionals and supers. 2019 Vandy finished with 28 (played one SEC the post season) and 2024 Tenn finished with 28 (didn’t play any until the championship series).

pretty sure LSU's best years (win wise against SEC teams) was 28 or 29

I think UF went 13-17 two years ago and made it to the semifinals.
Yep we lost to A&M in the semi's.
It came down to the last series of the year against Georgia and of course the last game of the series. We had to get to 13 wins or we would have been left out.

As i recall, yall caved our heads in in game 3 of our series to get to 13 wins. I remember because my kid wanted to run the bases and get Condon’s autograph after the game so i had to sit there in abject humid misery in hopes that yall would run rule us so we could get it over with

This site doesn't include wins over conference opponents in the postseason, but it's about the only one I found that has both conference record and overall record:
Baseballreference.com
I know that in 1999 Alabama had the most conference wins we've gotten in the regular season with 21.
We went 4-0 in the SEC tournament, 2-0 vs LSU in the Super Regional, did not play an SEC team in the CWS for 27 wins.
Anytime prior to that is going to lack a Super Regional, making it even harder to reach 30 wins.

You went thru same thing then. Ended up shipped to a regional you had no chance in. Then to a super regional you have no chance in. And then beat teams you weren’t supposed to and found yourself in the same situation.
It really is amazing to achieve all that. Came out of nowhere. Just hoping we have one more good luck charm tonight. But its been a hellofa ride with some great memories and moments. The Tock-off was such a highlight but many more too.
I honestly don’t know if we have the horses (arms) to win either game. GA getting max out of starters means their pitching room is in great shape.

Hard to imagine anyone having more than 29 before last night. Congratulations. That’s an impressive feat.

It's impressive, but also has more to do with the fact that they played an SEC team in the Super Regional and got matched with an All-SEC bracket in Omaha. I think other teams could have done that too, given the opportunity

irrelevant stat at this point
either uga wins the natty or it's kind of a hollow stat
good thing about uga is they have the offense to get through the losers bracket
if they pitch like they did yesterday they have a chance to do it

2000 Gamecock baseball won 25 regular season games and 2 in Hoover - did not face SEC in NCAAT - 27 wins
2011 Gamecock baseball won 22 regular season games - 1 in Hoover - 2 vs Florida in CWS champ series - 25 wins (26 if ya wanna count A&M in Omaha before the were SEC in 2012)

Thankful for the LSU fans to teach us what to post.
What would we do without you guys?

Ole Miss went 14-16 when we won the natty in '22.
Not sure a team has gone worse than 13-17 and made the postseason but there may be one or two.
