fricking Georgia Southern. Trot out a kid with a 3/6 strikeout to walk ratio last night and he proceeds to post a 6/1 in two innings, the whole staff combining for 13 Ks across 5 pitchers. Our bats were crap but Southern always pulls this punching above their weight bullshite with us and then tank our RPI the rest of the year.

Just mean to illustrate that to this point the kid has not only not played a ton, but he has walked twice as many batters as he has struck out. Just provides extra context in comparison to the 6:1 stat he posted last night; he threw twice as many strikeouts in two innings last night as he has all year.

Aggies look impressive so far, tbh. If A&M can string together consistent bats for the full season, they could make serious noise.
Not sure it'd be enough noise to win the west, but definitely enough to be squarely involved in hosting consideration.
