I just hope the Hawgs can win the series tonight. I don't know if they can sweep them in LA.

Also, Casey Martin can play baseball...

Utah Valley is coming to Columbia. Best Valley in the nation from what I've heard. Should be a shootout.

Ball State is 1-3 and gives up 9 runs a game.

Sorry bad math, they give up 6.5 runs a game.

Nice slate! LSU plays Bryant this weekend, so I can understand why we aren't on this list. But we do go to Texas to play the Longhorns next weekend.

Picked to finish 2nd in MAC behind Kent State.

Powerhouse matchup

Trying to watch our game on the Pac-12 Network stream last night really makes me appreciate what we have in the SEC. Felt like a high school production.

Dawgs have UMass-Lowell this weekend. Nothing notable really; opened the season 0-4 so already looking like a brick for our RPI

Other then our series against USCw this is the one that has my eye. Southern Miss went off the cliff a few years ago in just about every sport it seems like... but they look to be rebuilding nicely. State or Ole Miss is going to get the very best from USM. Just like I expect UALR and UAPB to give Arkansas their best shot when we play them this season.

Southern Miss swept us last year and we got off to a rocky start beyond that open series. Then we went on a tear so early games mean little. Coaches are figuring out who weekend pitchers are and their 1-9 batting.

After finishing so strong I had forgotten how bad MSU started last season. Complete turnaround.

Exactly right. And Southern Miss always fields a salty team. I expect no less this year. Southern Mississippi produces a lot of talent because their HS teams are really good.

USM has a very good team this year so this shapes up to be a great matchup. Two years ago we basically stole the Regional from them at the Pete but last year they gave us a butt whipping.

This series will be competitive. Don’t see either team sweeping. Will be a two out of three one way or the other. Obviously give State the advantage for being at home with the new stadium and maybe some carryover motivation from last year.

Hopefully the weather will clear some and they can get all three games in.
