Yep the I59 corridor from Meridian to Picayune is loaded with HS baseball talent.
Tremendous HS programs like West Lauderdale, Neshoba Central, Enterprise, Taylorsville, some of the Jones County schools, Oak Grove, Petal, Sumrall around Hattiesburg, Poplarville and Picayune (just to name a handful of schools, there are more). They produce a lot of HS baseball players so plenty of talent exists right in the local area for USM and State/Ole Miss as well to tap into.

I am changing this to the baseball scoreboard. MSU and Kentucky games start in 30 minutes.

It's so stupid we don't play a traditional weekend series with FSU.

I know, but I think we were the cause of it just to piss them off. Can't remember though.

I gotcha. I would have thought it was bad in Lubbock for the Kentucky v Tx Tech game, but it is nicer than it is here in Dallas, which is rare.

I had to listen to all my Tech friends talk about the fricking snow baseball they had to play in Lexington last year. I would love to see UK win so I could ask them if the snow screwed them up again.

This game is cruising. Did y'all even get a late start? Or was my stats thing just not working?

Also an FYI for you. Do you guys remember AJ Puk? Lefty fireballer that pitched for UF a few years ago. His sister plays for Ole Miss and she has 2 dingers vs Sam Houston State on the Longhorn network right now.

Through 5-1/2,

MSU Ethan Small with 13 K, 6 in a row before the last out in the 6th.

13K on 72 pitches.

USM 's big 6'8" pitcher has 1 K, but only 45 pitches through 5. Safe to say State is going up swinging

Damn, that is why it is going so fast. It's like you're a sissy if you take a pitch.

It's almost comical. Mangum just got the 3rd hit of the game on a dribbler past the mound. This ain't one for the highlight reel

--State working the count now, got him up to 58 pitches and Mangum just stole 2nd.

Ball State @ Alabama - series of the weekend IMHO

I would agree. Easily the most evenly matched series.
