Agreed on this 100%, I'm interested to see if the "Not formally withdrawn" from the draft affects players from the 2022 and 2021 classes who were out of eligibility at the time to withdraw from the draft.

Could that wording ultimately doom Chambliss if he was automatically entered and did not officially withdraw from the draft.

If you’re a deer hunter in Louisiana and you voluntarily joined a deer club and you pay dues to hunt on that clubs lease and signed a contract when you joined stating you’d follow the clubs rules. Then two years down the road, a new rule is passed in the club that only bucks with four points on one side will be killed and each member can only kill one buck. These rules do not align with the deer harvesting regulations for the state of Louisiana, but they’re your clubs rules. Two different things.

Your options are pretty simple, and court isn’t one of them because you voluntarily joined the club and agreed by contract when joining that you would abide by the clubs rules. So basically, you can find another deer club to hunt with, or abide by the clubs rules.

Except the NCAA is not like the state of Louisiana in this situation. The NCAA is a voluntary organization just like the SEC. So why can courts tell the NCAA it cannot enforce its rules but allow the SEC to enforce its rules?

The only party that has standing to sue the SEC would be LSU. Who was part of the 16-0 vote to implement this policy. If a player tries to sue the conference they would get laughed out of any competent court. Lack of standing.

Also, I seriously doubt the local yokel friendly court has jurisdiction over the SEC and Sankey. Even if they did somehow, the could simply ignore it. If there is no standing there is no subject matter jurisdiction. Which you can’t ever waive and can be raised on appeal in the unlikely event you ever are hauled into court.

This thing is over. Local corrupt college town fanboy judges have no power here. The gig is up. The Big 12 played the bylaw Trump card and sued Tech. You’ll notice Sorsby and Tech went away almost immediately after that lawsuit was filed. With their tails between their legs.
