If teams get kicked out of the SEC it won't be teams that will make people around here happy. The SEC is basically a wholly owned subsidiary of ESPN at this point and the things that they care about are not about tradition or relationships, it's all about ratings and money.
Super Conferences are coming and there will be winners and losers with that and a lot of changes people haven't thought through.

This is really ruining everything. We have too many team already. And we certainly have too much orange/burnt orange as it is.

I kind of like 12. Just need to kick Mizzou out and bring in another team.

North Carolina struggles with an ACC schedule. They would be cannon fodder in the SEC. They are 4-8 this year with wins against Charlotte, Richmond, Stanford, and last place Syracuse. And they have only played one ranked team all season. Mississippi State is still recovering from the last three years of shitshow and would have contended for the ACC title and a playoff spot.
Clemson is being ran by a coach that is so far behind the current college football landscape that he probably uses a manual typewriter.
Let’s get this new schedule going first.

If this happens, the ACC will come crumbling down
If we add NC and Clemson, then the rest of the ACC will go scrambling to join the B12 or B10. If the B10 adds any, then we might add a couple more ACC teams to balance it out. Whoever is left joins the B12. Some small time programs like BC and WF may be left in the cold and forced to join a non power 4 conference.
Just one step closer to 2 power conferences running the whole show

this is a fight for the next generation of college football as we know it.
this is all going to come down to a fight and some sort of merger with the Big 10 to create a college football league. your either in the club or your not. the big PE money has been lining this up for a couple of years now.

I don't see UNC leaving NC State and Duke and to a lesser extent Virginia. Maybe Duke but NC State is literally part of UNC and the politics of leaving them high and dry would be hard to believe.
We heard this about Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, too.

Having recently visited UNC, that campus and those people are NOT ready for what visiting SEC crowds are going to bring for football. Baseball will be a cool experience; really awesome park. Basketball speaks for itself.

TIFWIW, but the guy who tweeted this out also broke the story of UCLA and USC leaving the Pac 12 for the Big 10.
Is that his only prediction tho? I can rumor Clem Miami fsu and unc and eventually one will hit. Them and nd are the most valuable properties not already in the big or sec. I’m legit asking I don’t know this guy.

I'd rather have NC State over UNC. I lived in the Raleigh area for a few years and the Wolfpack fanbase is much more SEC-like than the Tarheels. They reminded me a lot of South Carolina fans. Their team may suck and have no future prospects to not suck but they still show up and enjoy the tailgating and overall college football experience.
My son goes to school at NC State and I agree. The biggest problem they have imo is the stadium is off campus. If they built a 70-80k stadium on campus I think they would take a big leap forward and I think with the size of their alumni and student body and proximity they could fill it pretty easily. Really no reason NC State is not as successful as Clemson and FSU in football, they are actually better positioned than both. Culturally they are much more SEC than UNC as well but UNC is the big brand and controls the Board that oversees both schools.

Bro your team literally cannot score a tuddy against my team. Many such cases. Sad!

There's been a gentlemen's agreement with UNC for about a year now. We knew that. Just didn't know what the other team would be. I don't agree with it but I do think this is very real.

Why outside of South Carolina, Clem and unc would be the best expansion teams so far. In the southeastern foot print, both were siaa and southern conference members. Both have decent tv ratings. Gt and Tulane are the only schools with more ties to the sec than these two(maybe fsu Miami).

Why do people continue to share MHver3 tweets? I’m convinced he’s just some unemployed schizophrenic mountaineer fan hiding away in the Appalachian mountains. The dudes been at this for 15 years and has never been right, but he seems to stir up controversy. I remember in like 2012 I was tuned into CFBLive after school and ESPN ran some segment about Florida State and Clemson joining the Big12, and it was mostly based on these guys tweets. Lmao. It still blows my mind till this day.
