People who don't think this will have a major impact overtime are not in reality. And A&M is right. We have told y'all too. So has Mizzou. TU is cancer. I would love to play them every year, but not as a conference foe.

The Longhorns destroy everything they touch. You were forewarned

You're way too far out in front of all of this.

It’s like some of you still don’t understand that the SEC IS college football. Texas and OU aren’t coming in to change shite. They’re coming in so they don’t get left behind.

College football has been blasted to smithereens by the NIL. What we’re seeing is a mad scramble by the rich programs to best position themselves for the new game. It will eventually boil down to the 32 richest programs who can afford to fund college football at this level. They will form a de facto developmental league for the NFL.
All conferences as we know them right now will dissolve, even the SEC. The shakeout will be monumental. It’s not only the G5 schools that should be worried. A lot of present P5 schools will find themselves out in the cold.

Didn't want them here, but now that they are here A&M will continue to lookout for ourselves even if that means teaming up with tU (to our benefit) when it comes to intra-conference disputes that will arise at some point. Texas, Oklahoma, A&M creates a formidable Western power block within the conference. Even LSU who has a history of not being pleased with the Bama Centric SEC Admin offices may join that block when they see fit. It's going to be a lot of legit money thrown around to influence the SEC decision makers and dangle in front of the poorer schools to get them to cooperate. The Administrative power shift away from Birmingham is inevitable.
You Aggies constantly talk about money, power, and administrative politics.
JUST WIN FOOTBALL GAMES

Akin to the New World Order in WWE?

More likely Texas will just control the Conference through their relationship with ESPN. Where the office sits is irrelevant in the short term. Will be interesting to see how it goes the first time Bama tries to push back hard on Texas. I do think there will be a power shift for certain. Texas is the biggest dog now and OU is their lackey. A&M likely joins as does Arkie. LSU is kind of caught in the middle, personally I think Texas does it's thing and destroys LSU and starts buying up your talent along with A&M and Oklahoma. The influx of 2 more power SEC schools going after Louisiana recruits and being able to buy them openly is going to be intersting to watch.
So we will be stuck with the State of Texas’s soft arse 5 stars?

Stop thinking you matter or we care about your feelings.

Texas has destroyed the last 3 conferences they were a part of - the SWC, the Big 12 and the Big 12-2.
Takes them about 10 years before they put the conference out of business.
So enjoy the final decade of SEC football if it even lasts that long. You have invited the fox into the hen house.

Will bump this in about 10 years and we'll see whose kicking and screaming.

We're just here to fill our stadium and hopefully field a good football team. 3rd coach is the charm right?

You are absolutely correct! And tell me over the past 20years how have those “good ole boy clubs” faired??? lol not very well.
One thing you need to remember, money talks and bullshite walks! I would venture to say that A&M’s and Texas’s endowments put together, might match all the rest of the SEC’s put together. I haven’t checked that to see if it is accurate, but if someone told me it was I wouldn’t blink an eye!!
They have all the money, the power will eventually shift!

The good Ole boy network in the Big 8 thought the same thing before Texas came in, bent them over and went in dry.
They run every conference they join and will run the SEC into the ground soon. It's what they do.

It's not just about money. Texas is also well connected politically and has a frickton of good lawyers. Bama is finally going to be someone's bitch. The old SEC power structure is about to be blown up.
