I can’t wait.

Everyone sees their own teams through rose colored glasses. I see a ton of talent on the offensive line even if it’s not proven. The schedule in the beginning of the year is soft allowing for a gelling period. Haynes King has talent as well. He will make some mistakes for sure but how many is the question.

Bye
re: Predict Texas @ Arkansas on 9/11 this year.

I’m actually thinking this will be lower scoring than some of you think. Something like 21-17 Arkansas over Texas.
re: Is this factually correct regarding Tx and OU?

If Texas and Oklahoma can’t join for a few years their recruiting will really suffer.
re: Is TAMU's objection to Texas really about recruiting?

Texas might have more revenue but they are underwater and way less profitable.
Texas A&M’s facilities are light years ahead of the Longhorns. Not even close. Weight rooms practice facilities etc.
As far as academics, both are AAU so it’s a matter of what your desired major is. If you want to do communications, law, etc go to Texas. Engineering and veterinary sciences go to Texas A&M.

re: LSU fans, are you in favor of keeping the game with UF?

There’s a reason the SEC is voting for expansion before determining which rivalries are lost.

The Longhorns destroy everything they touch. You were forewarned
re: SECCG should always be in Atlanta

Texas will rule this witch within 5 years
re: Not trolling, Potential NO Votes?

I truly don’t understand what is in it for the Mississippi schools and Arkansas. There’s no way they can compete recruiting wise with the new blood. Why weaken your recruiting pitch by increasing the number of SEC teams. Unless this is just is just about a few extra bucks then carry on.

The median fan that cares about college football is slowly moving south and east as the rest of the country becomes more ambivalent towards it (think of the average Pac12 fan). Even the average B1G fan isn’t the same as it used to be. In essence you have Ohio State and everyone else. Eventually I could see two superleagues in college football that don’t even play each other.
re: So Longhorns and Sooners are coming

Not even close to true. Longhorn fans hate A&M in a magnitude greater than the Sooners. Not even close.

Okay Pravda show the whole thing

The Longhorns were the reason the series ended with the split from the Big XII. Not even sure that is debatable.
Texas A&M’s home schedule is rock solid while the Longhorn’s has the consistency of applesauce. Texas A&M doesn’t need the game. The Longhorns do. It seems rather simple to me. Do I think that the high end talent leaving the state would be more likely to stay in-state if the game was played? Yes I do, but that in and of itself isn’t a reason to play the game.

Yep. The fruit of the “word of faith” movement is thorns and thistles.
re: 15 of the Top-100 just signed with 1 school.

I think the solution to making college football is reducing scholarships to 75 and limiting annual additions to 20. Would work better than expanding the Playoff which I am also in favor of.
re: Has this ever happened? Tennessee is begging the NCAA to nail them. Suspicious

Sounds like they’d rather save money than concentrate on winning football games.
re: Will Texas A&M be better without Mond?
Posted by SmallGovermentBetter on 1/17/21 at 3:22 pm
I expect the defense to be better. Specifically, the pass rush and secondary play both should be better. Offensively I see Haynes King being willing to throw deep more often than Mond ever would. Mond seemed to avoid the middle of the field even when he threw downfield. I expect more interceptions and more touchdowns. Will be more exciting than this years offense.

I think he’ll do just enough to not get fired by year four. Might beat Oklahoma a couple of times and get them to a NY6. He won’t meet the unrealistic expectations of that fan base though.
