Not sure about bama at #1....obviously they are primed and ready for the most immediate succes, but if we're using the quote above as our big factor, whateer coach comes in after Saban is gonna have it reeeeeal rough the first time he loses 2 games. I mean, if you go 3 seasons in a row without winning the SEC he'd probably be fired. Is that really desirable for a new guy?
Keep in mind I'm not bashing bama at all, I'm just using SDS's own quote to generate some discussion.

I think they are mainly just looking at the talent that would be in place. The ranking makes more sense when it is looked at that way.

In that case it's bama in a landslide.
But using their guideline that I quoted, I took all things into account. I guess you can't really quantify "pressure", but goodness if all 14 teams coaches died and had to be replaced, that next coach after saban would have an insane amount of "win big and win right now" pressure over their head.

Maybe not but it explains why some teams are placed in their order. Never going to be a list that everyone agrees with

If we're going by talent that's in place? I'd have LSU ahead of UF and UGA, without a doubt.

Sure but all we can do is guess at what their reasoning would of been, obviously it was more than just talent. Another reason might have been because Florida or Georgia doesn't have to play Alabama every year.
I didn't post the list because I thought it was solid. Wanted to see how others would rank the schools.

If I were raking each job on overall attractiveness I would have it:
1. UF
2. UGA
3. Alabama
4. LSU
5. UT
6. aTM
7. Auburn
8. Arkansas
9. OM
10. USCe
11. MSU
12. Missouri
13. UK
14. Vandy

Would probably have Bama one or two but the top 4 clearly has advantages over the rest. The last 7 is really standard.

Like others have said, I wouldn't want to be the coach who follows Saban.
