UGA shouldn't be judged by the historical UGA

WTF does that even mean?"Historically" what was LSU pre-Saban?
Historically" What was UF are Spurrier?"Historically"What was FSU
pre Bowden?"Historically" what was Auburn pre Pat Dye? And UGA
has a better "history" than any of those schools before they got the right coach
See how this works?I can go on and on.

Georgia Tech has more conference championships

WTF are you talking about?GT has 5 SECC and 2 ACCC for grand total of 7.We have
12 SEC titles.

quote:

Georgia Tech has more national titles

They also have more "National Titles" than UF...does that make them a better program?

Why do A&M fans constantly harp on salaries and facilities? Its gotten you guys no where since you
Joined the conference.

UGA fans - where would Richt sit in UGA lore if not for 6 more yards in 2012?

he's already the best coach we've ever had. If we won it all in 2012 it would have just cemented that and he'd still be our coach.

I hate L5U as much as anyone, but anyone who thinks it's a worse job than UT doesn't know shite about college football.

I know that underachieving makes a job less desirable

Huh?No it doesn't ,quite the opposite in fact.Would you really want to take over a
program that has underachieved or overachieved?ANY coach in their right mind would prefer the former

Program like Alabama that overachieves given the local talent

Hardly the reason Alabama "overachieves"

Please tell me what is appealing about the auburn job. At least you are the state school in your state.

You are still going to get much better talent than Arkansas. Auburn has won a NC and been to a NC in the last 10 years. As much as I would like to say Arkansas is better it is not atm.

Let me tell you from first hand that the Arkansas program has more potential and is at a state right now that exceeds auburn.

That all changes so quickly and I think that has more to due with the current coaches.

They also have five SIAA titles and three Southern conference titles. I am not knighting for them, I just went by the records on the internet.

Good point, I drop the Georgia Tech thing. Didn't know it was a sore spot.

Because it matters. There is a reason the top five coaches in the game have the top five salaries:

Maybe, but that killer instinct is a new thing for yall.
It was about damn time someone at UGA woke the frick up and did something. Teams/rivals all around them piling up hardware and they've been left out during a time when UF & UT were down? No excuse for that IMO.

They were stuck in a time when football was more innocent. I actually sympathize with them having to roll in the mud to compete, but that's life.

Auburn at 7 must be totally based on money and facilities
