Anyone who believes the movie rights were some big windfall in Tuohy's world are mistaken. Now, the publicity and cred AFTER the movie are immeasurable and definitely had an affect on he and his family financially. And of course Michael Oher has greatly benefitted from that as well as he has written two books on his life and those of the Tuhoy's (and you can safely assume the Tuohys were not included in any of those royalties).

Jesus, are you actually saying that Warner Brothers had a $30M film budget for a movie and they let the Tuohy family decide how they would be portrayed in said movie?

They don’t look great here, but neither does Oher. I think the lesson here is to avoid ole miss at all costs until you run out of options.
