Bama had 5 losing seasons between Bear's departure in 1982 and Saban's arrival in 2007. 11 of the 23 seasons in that time span ended with 10 or more wins. They finished ranked in 14 of the 23 seasons. By LSU's historical standards, that would be a golden age.

I'll admit it, I LOVE some Bama but most (probably 85%) of our fanbase does not deserve Saban. We've been in the hunt for a National Title in November every year since 2008 and won 4 of them. Yet to some fricking idiots they sky is falling whenever we (rarely) lose a game. "Has he lost it?" So much bullshite.
In fairness, no fanbase other than maybe the Green Bay Packers deserves a coach like Saban. Normal people are not accustomed to such greatness. They don't know how to handle it.

It's pretty old school, but Wallace Wade to Frank Thomas at Alabama. Wade left for Duke, but won a couple of titles at Alabama; then Frank Thomas came in and continued the trend.
It's not modern era though.

You are maybe the most ignorant lsu fan on this board. Most current alabama fans have been alive long enough to remember all of the 80's and all the late 90's up until Saban. Your pure hatred for alabama shows your insecurity. When you finally die, they should make sure they carve one the old LSU buttons onto your head stone that said "Hate Bama".
