That's the problem. Nobody wants to step up and control college athletics.

People do, for sure, but judges are over ruling the adults. And the ncaa is powerless against the courts. So it looks like we have another standoff like what tech tried to do.

LSU did it here. Ole Miss did it with Chambliss.

LSU did nothing.

There are double digit players in the lawsuit the majority LSU has no interest in.

They filed it.

LSU had nothing to do with this.

If they are eligible lsu will get no extra wins in the w column for being “noble” and boycotting these guys so might as well take them and play with them not against them

Who is LSU’s TE2? That guy has to be furious. Two weeks before the first game and he finds out LSU is bringing in an ex-NFL transfer to replace him.

You aren’t playing by the rules.

Not all Bama fans were on board with the Bediako ruling.

Several voiced their disapproval on this board.

I found it mildly amusing, but I didn't cheer for it.

That's always the case, there are always people for and against it. Doesn't stop rival fans from making sweeping generalizations.

I personally think all of the trouble isn't probably going to be worth the result.

It wasn’t with Bediako.

Lost to Tennessee, blown out by Florida and a constant distraction.

I know LSU fans want to support Kiffin but this seems way more likely to backfire than it does seems to be brilliant move.

But that’s Kiffin. There’s always drama, always bullshite.

It was about time for LSU to kick over another fire ant mound. And right on cue here are the ants.

I support Kiffin for pressing the issue, you have to or you'll get left behind. His job is to make the team as strong as possible, by any means necessary.

I dislike the current environment that makes things like this possible.

As I said, I personally don't believe it's worth the trouble but Kiffin & Co would know better than me.

The courts won't view it that way though. Players are going to have to become employees so we can get some actual rules in place. Until then, all of this will be at the discretion of the courts.

If players are employees, they can go work at a competitor (NFL) for five years then return to this employer (college).

you become a professional, you shouldn’t be allowed to return to college. It’s pretty simple.

I felt the same way about Bediako.

It's really as simple as this.

If this guy Wright wanted to go to Ole Miss, they would take him in a heartbeat and he’d go right back to being their TE1.

LSU will tie him up as a TE2/TE3. He may not even play at all other than a garbage TD in Oxford.

But he definitely won’t play for Ole Miss. And that is the point of LSU signing him.

Why would they take him in a heartbeat? Did you not hear the browns Coach? Kiffin reached out. While ole Miss tampers too, Kiffin moves into unabashed cheating by tampering with the nfl. frick your coach and your drunk culture.

That’s you being a fan but six months ago you would’ve shite on Nate Oats for attempting to do the same thing.

Everyone is about self interest and the athletes and collegiate sports suffer because a judge in Louisiana felt a certain way.
