Then why did the SEC not lose in court in the Bediako case?

Because a judge denied the injunction

Not the case here

Fisher was a desperate move by a terrible AD. The same one that put LSU in the gutter. To be honest there hasn’t been a worthwhile coach since we let RC go. Elko is to be decided. If he resorts to this crap I will call him on it.

Cool, why are you lying about your feelings on Jimbo? You loved the hire. You were high on him, up until it started going bad in 2022. Seems kind of hollow to speak of integrity and then try to lie.

A&M took our shot with Fisher. He ruined the program. I can only hope Kiffin does the same for you.

Cool, why are you lying and saying you hated him?

You:

quote:

First of all, Jimbo is a homerun type of hire given his pedigree and accomplishments.

quote:

Jimbo is impressive - and at the very least A&M is simply going to OWN the state of Texas again after listening to him. We will see about the on-field stuff, but he is all you can ask for in a hire

quote:

Actually I am especially jazzed for the A&M defense under Elko. I think Jimbo has done a damned fine job with his staff selections, is recruiting like a madman, and I am seeing actual "coaching" on this staff

quote:

Fisher is exactly what A&M needed. Recruiting, toughness, and the coaching improvement alone at this point isn't even debatable. Also, A&M will ALWAYS have a good QB because of being in Texas. Jimbo can coach QB - the improvement in Mond this year is simply phenomenal.

quote:

1. Fisher speaks coherently
2. Fisher has a proven system. It works, and you are seeing the results
3. Fisher is respected by his players and former players
4. Fisher has built A&M the right way from the trenches out

The long and short of it is that before Fisher, A&M had the occasional good player but very little depth. Especially in the trenches. Now we have an SEC-quality DL, OL, and are working on the rest. I expect Fisher's winning ways to continue. Takes a bit of luck to win a MNC, but if we continue to play solid football and be consistently ranked in the T10 - who knows. Eventually everyone will have to acknowledge we aren't going away

quote:

A&M is quite happy with Fisher. He can both recruit and coach. And he's raised A&M's recruiting profile exponentially in a short matter of time. If he doesn't work out, there will be plenty of talent for the next coach

quote:

We're okay with Jimbo, so not a problem for us

quote:

He has greatly enhanced the recruiting profile, and the program at A&M. Has he won yet? No, but QB was a massive deficiency last year, and Fisher had to change his offense after the starter went down. Addressed that this off-season. Defense is great. OL is going to be much better this year. QB will be many times better. The time is coming that Fisher must win - but getting the talent level up to snuff was first, especially in the trenches. Every position on the field will be better this year due to depth and competition. I am expecting great things these next few years. A&M is a QB away

Just a sampling...

Muh integrity.

I wonder if Sankey will threaten LSU
Indirectly to try to avert this situation.
You have to think the other schools in the conference would support Sankey
sending a message.

Who gives a frick? You guys are now the Tech of the SEC. Your actions are sullying the conference and all coaches and athletic directors are rightly going to seek all actions to stop this ridiculous decision. I can only imagine Sankey is pissed as well. So frick off you drunk swamp rat

I support Kiffin for pressing the issue, you have to or you'll get left behind. His job is to make the team as strong as possible, by any means necessary.

Dan Lanning disagrees with sidewalk. Shocker.

He signed a professional contract. At that point, his eligibility should be up

Only because the NCAA told him his eligiblity was up. He had no other choice but to sign with the NFL.

But the courts are seeing it differently and saying it's unfair that every college player can play 5 years, except players from the Class of '22, particularly those recently waived or about-to-be-waived UDFA's who would've obviously stayed an extra year for more development.

What about the LSU player who is about to get kicked off the roster for a transfer NFL washout? Is that fair? Is he going to get an extra year of eligibility now because Kiffin processed him less than a week before this season kicks off?

LSU has open roster spots, why would they kick anyone off?

You're getting two separate issues confused here, as are many other posters.

Try to stick with me here.

(1) Lanning says NFL players shouldn't be allowed back. I agree 100% with this.

(2) However, NFL players are now eligible, so I agree with Kiffin signing them because if he doesn't, then someone else will.

I don't think Bediako should have been eligible, but as he was, I don't disagree with your coach letting him play.
