There was a time when LSU showed up looking to take peoples' heads off.

We had physicality under Aranda as well.
We've been soft ever since.

This is the part where you look back on the one you got rid of and think, "I guess they weren't so bad."

I thought Ogeron was a quality coach and great ambassador for your program but I guess your admin and fans disagreed.

Les unquestionably needed to be fired after he flipped the fan base off by not changing the offense.
Now, we could have easily done better than Ed orgeron during that search. In fact in my post history I absolutely wanted Lane at FAU

It does bring up a good question. Who would be a good fit for LSU in the future? I would make a play for Cignetti at Indiana.

He's already 63 years old

Which is dumb, because Les was losing 3 or 4 games a year, just like BK.
I think Miles would be even less effective in today's college football because of his offensive approach.

I didn't realize that.

It's kind of funny because the dude is kind of perceived as an up and comer but he's older than BK

Is this some sort of modified Oklahoma, where instead of 2-on-2 it's 1-on-3?

I'll just say this. Brian Kelly is not going to be fired. He won't sink the program, but I have my doubts he takes the program to the top. Cignetti is too old. I love the Tulane coach, and while it won't be popular i think Blake Baker will eventually be a good head coach.
He is going to sign this top 3 2025 class and hope it is good enough to take the next steps. It has been said many times Kelly was never going to finish out his contract regardless of success due to retirement, so with the 2024, 25, and 26 classes looking very promising, we will ride it out with Kelly. We are playing 11 freshmen quite a bit. You sign these next two promising classes and hit the portal HARD.
I think it's obvious LSU needs to be more serious with the portal. We won't beat Lane most of the time but we need 5-8 good transfers to shore things up. I like our current assistants...the previous defensive staff is killing us.
