Then you haven't seen muss take off his shirt, flip fans off and fight opposing coaches.

John Tyson expects a title from him and Cal knows that.

I’m worried about Texas Tech. Very disciplined team that will give us fits.
Either way, we made the Sweet 16 baby

I’m not worried about any opponent.
We have proven we can play with any team.
With an 8-man rotation we obviously have limitations.
But this team has become a TEAM and these dogs are hungry.
We can win no more games and this season is a huge success given where it started in conference play.

Agreed. We can certainly beat Tech. We need to get them in a run and gun type game. A slow pace favors them

The UK coach cobbled together a team last minute and made it to the Sweet 16 same as Cal.
If Cal was coaching that UK team, he'd be in Lexington next weekend.

Considering he's done more with less at UK... probably a Final Four.

All Cal truly cares about are his ego and getting players to the NBA, it's one of the things that turned UK fans against him when he said I'm not here to win titles, I'm here to get these players to the ThugBA. No Coach, you're paid $10m/yr to win Championships, players going into the NBA, will follow. Then last year he made the comment that the SEC tournament isn't a big deal.....that really was his end as the fans really turned on him.
A lot of fans spend a ton of money to spend 4-5 nights in Nashvegas, food/beverages, ticket books or single game tics, etc., etc.. It's an immense deal to the fans, especially since many probably save a few months in order to go. Fans were fed up with him, especially getting all these 5*s are not making it past 1st round of SEC or past 1st round of NCAA tournament. It was past time for change....for UK and Cal.

Exactly Gideon!!! Cal would've been out 1st round or maybe not even made the big show and sitting in Lexvegas eating at Jeff Ruby's.

I’ve always heard Bammers were retards. You have confirmed it.

Cry harder. Just admit it. You paid a coach past his prime to sneak into the sweet 16 and are pretending to be happy about it when a midget stripper took you to the elite 8.

Perhaps so.... I see it both ways, he was burned out by the pressure, constant negativity of the KY Blueblood status. KY was tired of Cal not being as consistent, or of not winning as they believed he should with such talent. KY wanted Cal to use the portal, get older more mature players, etc rather than focus on the 1 and dones...
It was a win/win . He has less pressure at Arkansas overall, but he was definitely feeling the pressure earlier in the season with the injuries, and shortened bench (his fault). Now he looks like a genius. Pope has been really successful at getting his players to buy in.
Two things can both be right. Cal can be coaching excellent at the new school, while Pope can be doing the same at his.
Head to Head was fun however!

Bless your heart, judging by your self portrait there it appears I’ve hurt your feelings again.
It was just a simple question I was posing to the troll since it had the capacity of seeing what could happen in different circumstances. It wasn’t meant to make you cry. Let it go…..

It's no more difficult than this, thank you.
I'm sick and tired of the Cal/Arkansas/Pope/Kentucky piss fights. Time to move on (which has been said in multiple threads and we haven't moved on yet).

What about Arkansas's situation do you feel is more difficult than:
- Putting together a roster with no one returning and only one player following him that had PT at BYU (Jaxson Robinson). Returning 0 points production from previous season.
- Having no PG for multiple stretches during the season due to injuries.
Butler's shoulder injury started in January against Texas A&M, 4th game of conference play.
Kerr broke his foot against Gonzaga (December 7, 2024, backup PG #1) Jaxson Robinson injured his wrist twice (February against South Carolina, reinjured on February 26th when he returned against Oklahoma and ended his season, backup PG #2).
- Andrew Carr with reoccurring back spasms.
- Kentucky playing a #3 in the country SOS (NET and RPI) only behind Auburn and Alabama.
Warren Nolan SOS
That's not to say that Calipari didn't have a difficult situation. He has. But to pretend Pope didn't have a difficult road as well is simply pushing an agenda.
