Up 3 with 30 seconds and 2 FT's to shoot. Miss the first, make the second. Up 4, UT ball.
UT gets 2 and a foul. Misses the FT and Bama fouls on the rebound. Makes both FT's. Tied game. Essentially they get all 4 needed points on a single possession in about 5 seconds of time.
Bama ball and can run the clock to zero on the final possession. Drives to the basket with nothing open. Jump ball possession Bama 3 seconds left.
5 seconds violation with 2 timeouts left.
Tennessee has 3 seconds to shoot, leave the shooter wide open and he nails the 3.

Tennessee scored 7 points in the last 36 seconds with Alabama holding the ball for like 27 of those seconds.

90% of what tied the game again was fluke stuff and great hustle by Tennessee mostly out of Alabama's control. Taking a 5 second violation inbounding the ball with 2 timeouts left is totally on us.

Exactly. Little bit of some makeup calls at the end with the 2 fouls helped but it is what it is.

Just watched the replay. Barnes tried to call time out but the refs didn’t see him. About a dribble before the shot.

Especially with Mishack handling the ball. Everyone on Alabama's team knew he was the worst shooter Tennessee had on the floor and would have been the least of your concerns from near half court. How he made that I have no fricking idea. Cause god bless him and his unrelenting hellacious effort he gives us defensively, but dude cannot shoot from deep to save his life typically. Basketball, man. Sometimes the silliest and most mind boggling things happen in this sport.

That matchup would make me shite my pants, not gonna lie. I often think that a 2 seed is more preferable. Easier for a early round game to cause the bracket to open up with more favorable matchups along the way. A one seed can easily end up giving a team harder opponents to play.
