I’ve noticed a difference in the tone of Rant baseball threads compared to the football threads. The baseball fans tend to be less cocky, more humble. When even the most legendary hitters in the game fail 7 times out of every 10 visits to the plate, the sport has a way of humbling you.
Yes it does. Sucks that we lost our series and are trying to stave off the sweep today, but in both games we were basically a single swing of the bat from a very different outcome and a very different narrative. It was the case in the A&M series too. Hacopian just barely missed walking off game two.
The margins are incredibly thin.

Also where is the smack talk between Arkansas and Kentucky? You guys have been fighting for 2 years now and I thought some of the basketball ball stuff would spill over into this series. Very disappointing.

Win today and make the final in Hoover and we will see.

A&M is out of pitching. It will be PBC today ... the injury to Sims just tanked this team down the stretch. The offense is still great but the pitching is terrible

The baseball gods will humble you and your team for no rhyme or reason. Talk shite or be cocky and you’re just giving them cause.

Time to pull McPherson he doesn’t have it

LSU fans are the only unbearable baseball fans.
The reason the SEC tends to be pretty amicable toward each other during baseball season is that there is so much parity and 11 out of 16 teams have won a title.

Is Texas A&M wearing red and blue and why?

Yeah that’s been standard A&M home game 3 (usually Sunday) jerseys for a couple of years now.

These A&M fans are a salty bunch with no ball knowledge.

Even with a lucky win today we still aren't hosting

We introduced them when George Bush Sr attended an A&M game vs Yale his alma mater and who he played baseball for.
Since then we have broken them out on occasion. But over the last few years, they have been our regular Sunday unis.

I used to try and get mad at rabble rousers who would come into the baseball threads and start some shite, especially during non conference play, but I quickly learned that sometimes you have to let rivals have at it.
tRant is inevitable.

I will say Kentucky has one of the worst play by play announcers I've ever heard. He's confused about the basic rules of baseball half the time and the other half he's having difficulty following the ball.
