Dude our Sunday pitching is a nightmare. Swear to god Wes started Edwards because someone has to do it and fully intended to pull him asap. Both Matt Scott and Ishikawa were supposed to be starters but neither seems to be comfortable starting (but have looked good out of the pen)
But then Farley also sucks so I think we’re just playing a midweek staff game because we have no option. Hence Vigue lay night cannot be hurt longterm

We have around 8 or 9 SOs through 4 innings. You can’t SO on a foul ball (assuming it doesn’t go directly into the catchers glove). Clearly we are not fouling off “every thing.”
(I get your point, but our hitters are struggling mightily in the last couple series).

He could throw at about 80% effort and still get 7 more SOs in 4 innings. Alas, they wanted to boost the confidence of other UTx pitchers as well…share the SO love

Nah we’re cooked. We will score some runs late to make it respectable but we’ve done this in pretty much every Game 3 of every SEC series except MSU (managed to come back and win vs Carolina and Tennessee at home with late inning drama).

Gaeckle just doesn't have it.
His first year he looked like a sure fire pro.
Last year, he was placed in starting role.. struggled, but when they moved him back to the pen he performed.
This year he's hanging all his pitches. Not locating his fastball. Just a recipe for disaster.
I have no idea how he went from dominant to just average in such a short period of time.

Huge SO by Adams with 2 runners in scoring position on a 3-2 count with over 100 pitches thrown and like the 9th pitch of the AB. Couldn’t believe Vaughn didn’t go to the pen there.
