Sark is entering his 6th season as the Longhorns' HC.

Like last season, if the Longhorns fail to make it to the college football playoffs again, will Bevo go rogue and impale Sark ending his tenure as Longhorns' HC?

horns are well positioned to win the NC. No real weaknesses on the team. It's already being predicted they will blow out Ohio St.

Imagine the reaction if Kiffin went 5-7 and 8-5 in his first 2 years at LSU like Sark did at Texas…
But now we’re supposed to believe Sark’s a Top 3 HC in the SEC, all because uncapped pay-for-play and the transfer portal saved his sorry arse, while Texas fans were STILL booing his team just as recent as Week 3 of last year

Ryan Day is the best measuring stick I can think of with Sark. Day was in big trouble, and the patrons were losing faith. Losing to Michigan too many times as favorites and missing the 4-team playoff. If not for 12 teams, it wouldn't have happened 2 years ago. But they got hot and actually played up to their talent, which is extremely rare for a Ryan Day team, in the biggest moments. Sark can do the same, but so can Cristobal in Miami, who almost made it happen last season. So can Kirby, and so can Coach DeBoer. So can many more.
Depth is the key issue these days when the dust settles. Get hot, stay healthy through a gauntlet of games, and even then it takes the right bounce of the ball. Not exactly the same criteria we were talking about for our National Championship teams even a few years ago.

Texas like Notre Dame….history is not a good indicator of the future…expectations indicate the future…..again August.

Time will tell, but it is projected to be the toughest schedule Sark has coached. Again, those are projections and pre-season projections are often wrong

No that buffoon choked in 2021 blowing a 21 point first quarter lead and an 8 point lead with 8 minutes to go and then he turned around and choked again in 2023 by buttfricking the 3 point lead with 1:17 to go.
He should be 5-0 but choked on applesauce twice.
That's infinitely better than the asswater Mack Brown used to bring to the Cotton Bowl most years but c'mon.
Also the 0-5 record against Ohio State & Georgia is far more annoying unlike aggy we care about beating everyone not just the mobilhoma gaylord methlords.

Well, Sark made $5.2 and $5.4 million during his 5-7 and 8-5 years.... Lane will make 13 million in both 2026 and 2027.
Id say the reaction would be justified if he put up those results or anything similar.

He is 3-2 vs OU with Caleb Williams and Dillion Gabriel beating him. That series will be 3-3 for him after this year.

Sark has done exactly what he was hired to do.
1) Identity and develop talent. Texas never had a problem recruiting blue chip talent, but they were either not recruiting the right type, or not developing them.
- 4 players were drafted in the first 2 rounds in the decade preceding his hire.
- 13 have been drafted since his arrival.
2) Winning.
- Texas had won only 56% of their games over that span. Best season was 10-4 with an upset over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. “We’re back”
- Despite a losing record in his first season. Sark has won 70% of his games, and won the Big 12 Championship on the way out of the conference. Remember, Mack Borwn only won two conference titles. Texas didn’t come close to dominating that conference.
3) Prepare Texas to compete in the SEC. They were struggling on the Big 12. Unless they overhauled the program, they were going to get destroyed in their new conference.
- Texas already has made a conference championship game. I won’t list the other schools with much longer tenures that have failed to do so.
I understand he has to deal with the boosters and supporters of Longhorn football. He could exceed Mack Brown’s era, but still get run out of town because he doesn’t have Mack’s personality.
