Thanks Sam. You took over the Morris dumpster fire and made the hogs competitive. Unfortunately nice guys sometimes finish last.

I highly doubt they rehire Petrino as the next HC. I could be wrong of course, but from what I understand, Petrino didn't really have unanimous support to be retired at all. The next guy is going to have to be able to entice the money men to pony up a lot more than they have been and I don't think Petrino is that guy.
Arkansas needs to be beating down Urban Meyer's door and trying to make him say no to huge money.

Petrino is going to be auditioning his arse off. Probably see him kissing babies and hanging out at church.

This. I love the guy and think he did a fine job given what he had to work with. He took over a program that hadn't won a conference game in two years and got them to 9 wins in 2 years. That's actually a remarkable rebuild given we always play the toughest schedule in America. He has put the program back into a position to lure a better coach. Nobody wanted the damn job when we hired him. Except Kiffin apparently, but Yurachek fricked that one up.
Yurachek probably should go too.

Erb didn't publicly embarrass the university, lie to his bosses, and open the institution to litigation for unfair hiring practices. If they're willing to bring Petrino back at all they should have no problems going and hiring a guy who is a proven championship coach at multiple universities.

Here's to hoping we can add some more Arkansas players to our roster before finishing this SEC schedule.

He didn't give a shite towards the end of the first half and certainly didn't the entire second half. Neither did the rest of the team. I wouldn't have either. Yesterday was the third week in a row I saw about 20 plays where our defense didn't have anyone within 10 yards of the guy with the football. I seriously feel like T-Will has been deliberately calling bad plays.

Clearly you’re underestimating Petrino’s support at Arkansas. I can’t recall another coach fired for cause for screwing his underling and lied to the cops about his motorcycle accident to be rehired years later by the same university.

He has his supporters. I’m not one of them. Nothing to do with integrity. He didn’t recruit well before and with a lack of NIL it’s gonna be tough
