After DTL was preying on women, I would never advocate for women being alone on any street in Baton Rouge.

Good luck with that.

Her blood level was 0.319

They were sober enough to ask for sex multiple times, filmit, and allegedly one of them finally said it was wrong.

One of their lawyers is claiming that. "Obviously she was drunk but not THAT drunk!"

They've only been charged with rape so far. I guess LA isn't a felony murder state.

They didn't technically kill her. A good prosecuter could probably figure out a manslaughter charge, but that would go to trial, and with the demographics in Baton Rouge, they'd probably walk.

Those situations are what felony murder statutes are meant to cover. Someone dying as a result of your commission of a felony = murder even if someone else killed them. Louisiana has a pretty unique legal system though, and that concept may not exist in civil law.

Well, you know us, we've got to be a pain in the arse about everything.

Pretty sure LSU is the only law school that teaches Napoleonic code and whatever the rest of the country uses.

Common law because we’re Americans

Well LSU and the other Louisiana law schools. No other law school would have any reason to teach it because it’s not relevant outside Louisiana nor is it on any other bar exam

There were gangsters back in the day who killed the crap out of each other and some became glorified, Bonnie and Clyde come to mind, not gangsters but but were outlaws.
Bonnie and Clyde didn't harm regla folk. Remember in the movie when Clyde was robbing a bank and an old man pulled out his wallet to give it up, and Clyde told him he didn't want his money cause he (the old man) needed his more than the bank needed theirs. Back then even outlaws had some sense of decency.

Hear, hear. There’s a part in David Mitchell’s Coud Atlas when a character despairs at the world’s depravity and questions the significance of anything he can do, but then he decides “What is any ocean but a multitude of drops?”

In the movie. Ok.

No offense but that movie made them almost heroes.

Oh, they really didn’t look like Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.

There was a reason they were tracked down and slaughtered.

Reggie’s is a cesspool. Literally. When I was there about 12 years ago the bathrooms were backing up and there was about 1/4 inch of spilled drinks and doo doo water on the dance floor. Management didn’t close and the patrons were too drunk to really care. They just sloshed around in it.

Tigerland is a great place if you are 18 and your idea of a good time is getting so drunk you piss yourself, get cheap shotted and wake up in a ditch without your wallet.

The hell they didn't. Forgetting all the LEOs they killed, they also murdered a hardware store owner, a grocery store clerk, a random civilian who tried to stop them from stealing his car. They also kidnapped several civilian victims of their robberies.

Movies aren't real life. They were incredibly evil people.

Appreciate the sentiment but to say this happened "@LSU" is shitty. The bar and the incidents have nothing to do with LSU other than both being located in the same city.
