This is not a troll at all.....

I personally think CNS is going to be getting a little stir crazy after his next NC. The man is a goal-driven machine and after this one, he will be dying for another challenge. And, no, winning another doesn't represent a seperate challenge, rather it is just Ground Hog Day.

NFL? Nope.....don't think so, but I bet he still feels the sting of that failure.

Texas? Possibly......and, they have light-years more $$$ than Bama.

Retirement? Nope.......he already figured out he doesn't have a future in water skiing. Besides, he must have something to work for.

The Gumps are at the top of the College Football Universe and while it sucks, it is what it is. There absolutely will come a time for their program to normalize.....happens to every elite program (i.e. cyclical). But, until CNS bails, I'm afraid we are looking at our own little version of the Roman Empire.

If Saban is such an ambitious man, why won't he try to take on the ultimate challenge: to match or even exceed Bryant's legacy at Alabama?

If Saban leaves for McNeese State on January 8th, I'll wish him well and thank him for the memories and achievements.

He would have taken the job last year if that is what he wanted....Look for him to be AD as soon as Mal retires. Wouldn't be surprised if that didn't happen sooner than later and if he is the head man and can hire who he wants, guess who that would be?

Where's the challenge? He doesn't even have to win the division to got to the NCG. I can see that.

I doubt Saban has any interest in being an Athletic Director, taking a pay cut, and worrying about women's soccer schedules.

Oh wonderful, another thread where some mongoloid LSU fan plays armchair psychiatrist for Nick Saban.

You don't know Saban very well. He is not goal oriented but process oriented. He thinks the end result comes from the process and so he doesn't focus on the goal but what is happening now.

Will Saban ever leave? Probably but it won't be because he is bored but because Bama pisses him off.

I doubt he would be worry about schedules.....and as far as the pay cut is concerned he has said he has enough money to last him.

Texas has more money. Sure, they do. What does it matter though? You think Texas is gonna offer Saban $20 million a year or something?

But, if Texas offers anything reasonable ($6-8 million a year)...Bama will beat it.

Are you kidding me?????

1- Saban will never be Bear Bryant in the mind of Bama nation as younger fans don't place the same level of iconic importance on a football coach (too many I-phones).
2- He could give a shite less about surpassing the idol of what he views as mostly a redneck fanbase.
3- Saban cares about Saban....and one day he will leave. It's a big world out there and Nick ain't living the remainder of his life in T-Town. Just an FYI

Obviously the post is stupid in general, however why does everyone always use this argument.

Texas cannot give unlimited money to a coach. The faculty already protested when Mack was given a raise following UT going to the national title game. The faculty was specifically pointing to rising tuition costs and massive budget cuts, such as 5 million to liber arts alone.

The argument is dumb. Anything UT can reasonably offer... Bama can match.

Texas would not give him complete control like Bama did. They aren't humbled enough.

I love that this sentiment has to be written this way. Also, when we're compared to the Roman Empire. And Saban to Satan, and Darth Vader.

CNS is retiring here. And then our down trend COULD potentially happen... depends on the next hire etc.
