Nick Saban will retire at Alabama unless he goes into the NFL and I don't think that will happen. You don;t leave Alabama for another college job, what a joke. People just wish he would leave.
Alabama is a very powerful program standing alone but when you put someone like Nick Saban in charge of it the power magnifies about tenfold.

...it's really not at that level.....Bama was one first down from being in the Cotton Bowl this year. Not a jab, but Saban hasn't been dominating as of late. The game is catching up to Bama and will make the going harder
This bama team only has 9 seniors and 1 is the damn long snapper. This team wasn't even supposed to be this good but they are going to win ANOTHER national title.
Saban will probably be going for a 3 PEAT this time next year.

He does have a wife who I am sure would like to be in one of the most vibrant cities in the Country. I don't really think he'll ever leave but to say Texas can't offer anything Bama can't match is just wrong.
....remember this, T-town is but a tad over an hour hour away from....Meridian, MS. Yay!!!

Austin > Tuscaloosa
He doesn't even live in Tuscaloosa proper. He lives in a gated community in Northport, along side Lake Tuscaloosa. And even though Austin is a better city with more to offer in terms of night life, the Sabans are in their sixties and their children have moved out. What the hell do they care about nightlife?

You will be losing the majority of you biggest strength......Bama will be affected.
BTW, how many Juniors are starting?

They're both from the same small town in West Virginia and vacation in Nowhere, Georgia during the summer. I don't think vibrant city life is among her requirements for a place to live.
They are going to retire to that same vacation house once Saban is done with football.

Nowhere, Georgia
Lake Burton is surrounded by celebrity residences......its far from Nowhere....
ETA: Terri really doesn't care about nightlife.....Austin is irrelevant. The important part is the $10-12million annually.

And this was said after we beat your team's arse this time last year. Remember, we lost basically 5 players to the 1st round (Upshaw was pretty much a 1st rounder).
This was also said when we lost Andre Smith, Glen Coffee, and JPW. We then went to win a NC with a 1st time starter at QB and JUCO LT and the eventual Heisman at RB

Losing the core of a gelled oline unit is an entirely different animal. Especially when 3 of 5 are first team AAs.
beat our arse.....you did. and we beat you to go on and be SEC champs. nanny nanny boo boo.

If UA wins in Miami, maybe Saban will leave...
and go to Washington like the other guy to win 3 out of 4.

....apples to oranges......are you aware of his struggles at Miami? Money is relevant when he gets to coach college kids.....

How much money do you think Saban has made while at UA?

in 2009 we had to replace:
T Andre Smith (currently starts in the NFL),
C Antoine Caldwell (currently starts in the NFL),
G Marlon Davis
went 14-0 with a rebuilt OL

It's in the middle of the wilderness, celebrity residences or not, that is the middle of nowhere.

Alabama can match anything Texas offers and I highly doubt Saban would want to work for an AD that is as controlling as DeLoss Dodds.

How many Jr's do you think will leave (does affect big time programs annually), and I'd like someone to tell me straight-up from your fan base: the NCAA recognizes UA with 7 football NC's and I see lots of post' that have 16, 18, and even 20 NC's. Who recognized the others as they go a pretty good ways back?
Just curious......................

During the offseason, they put all their chips on Drew Brees and then he failed a physical so they were forced to sign Culpepper at the last minute. Then Culpepper tore his shoulder up, and Miami went 6-10, but had plenty of things to look forward to as they ended winning 5 out of 6 and had the defensive MVP and their injury and roster situations were shaping up.

His NFL career was not some epic disaster. He actually did fairly well considering it was only two years, and was in absolutely no danger of losing his job. Why do you think they were so mad in Miami when he left? Would they have cared if he sucked?

Dee Milliner and CJ Mosley are the only juniors who are leaving for sure. Eddie Lacy is another possibility.
