Saban will leave when he wants and retire when he wants. Stop speculating like you know wtf you're talking about. You look foolish.

You are just one of about 1,000 LSU fans who have posted on this topic since Saban was hired in January 2007. Bottom line is this: it's been 8 years since he left LSU for the NFL. EIGHT YEARS. Get over it! His successor is 85-20 and the second winningest coach in the history of your program. Forget Nick Saban and focus on the present. You've got a very good team that will compete for championships as long as Les Miles is there. What more do you want?

The argument is dumb. Anything UT can reasonably offer... Bama can match.

Just LSU fans being the little sister. Wishing and hoping instead of working hard and out performing.

I love that this sentiment has to be written this way. Also, when we're compared to the Roman Empire. And Saban to Satan, and Darth Vader. CNS is retiring here. And then our down trend COULD potentially happen... depends on the next hire etc.

He could easily start to decline as he ages like Bowden, etc. For the next 5 years he'll probably remain a machine. After his mid sixties... who knows. You never really know when a person is going to start slowing down.

What if his goal is to win 6 straight MNC's.

The foundation is in place at Alabama which makes leaving counter productive to achieving this goal.

You can't will your team to win nor can you will Saban to leave. Dwelling on it just makes you more miserable when you consider Alabama's success.

It will happen one day, just not today.

Saban will never be Bear Bryant in the mind of Bama nation as younger fans don't place the same level of iconic importance on a football coach (too many I-phones

Dumbest shite i've ever read, you clearly don't know our fanbase as well as you think you do

But, until CNS bails, I'm afraid we are looking at our own little version of the Roman Empire.

Embrace it.

What's interesting is the venom the topic brings out.

I wasn't belittling anyone and even referred to Bama as The Roman Empire, yet the insecurities seem to flow like wine........wow.

It's an overworked topic for sure, but who knew the trolling value it had?!?!

An LSU fan starts a thread about Saban leaving Bama?

Now I've seen everything.

It's more eye-rolling than venom because LSU fans start threads about Saban leaving Bama every single day on here. Every single day. It's sad actually.

It's because this topic has been brought up at least twice a day for the last six years on this very message board. We're not insecure, we're annoyed.

Why do LSU fans think they have some special insight into the mind of Nick Saban? This is only about the 1,000th thread in the last couple years where an LSU fan bestows his special insight into Saban's internal thinking. First off, he's been in Tuscaloosa longer than he was in Baton Rouge. Why are LSU fans such Sabanoligists?

What's amazing is that most of the lsu fans know the inner most thoughts of nick sabans mind.

Every thread starts the same way..."I feel like he's looking forward to a new challenge."

Y'all feel that way because that's what you want and it's a scary thought to accept that he isn't leaving for another coaching gig

so far he was supposed to have left Bama for:
LSU (2007), WVU (it's "home"), PSU, ND, USC, Texas (2x), UF, OSU, Michigan, the Cowboys, the Browns, and the Eagles.

I'm sure there are more that have been claimed by other fans, but those the ones I can remember off the top of my head. This is becoming an annual tradition from those who either:
A) wish Saban would leave,
B) are upset he left LSU 8 freaking years ago so try to claim that since he's left other jobs that he must leave this one, or
C) both.

.....ummmmm......I'm not complaining and am thrilled with Les. Hell, I'm not even unhappy with not being SEC Champs....but, interesting a topic of dicussion has the Gumps immediately assuming I'm unhappy.

What's more challenging than topping the legacy of the greatest college coach to ever walk a sideline?
