Could Saban manage the ego of Texans with new money? Unlikely. No one has ever managed to do it. All programs have donors with massive egos. Managing them is most of the job. Saban manages Alabama idiot donors very well. The difference at ATM and Baja Oklahoma is Texans with new oil money can't be managed. They are the truck nut trash equivalent of billionaires. They are also the reason the 2 programs can't compete despite having all the resources in the world needed to do so. Unlikely to change anytime soon.

Why would Saban need more money? Is he trying to keep up with Bill Gates?

You are an Alabama fan who did not know Saban has already won NCs at two different schools Alabama and LSU?

Alabama fans want nothing but the best for A&M with our rich history and this coaching change reversal would be just another brick in the wall of our shared experience.

No, no.

We’re not falling for that crap again.

Saban cares about nothing but money and is what is commonly called an avaricious person.

Notice how he lied to Miami and LSU fans about taking the Alabama job? He can't be trusted. Miami needed him and he lied to them like they were trash; he has no human feelings. He even made a Miami player cry one time.

It wasn't his right to decide what job he was going to take or not take after he had already committed to a contractual obligation to Miami.

Another example that shines a light on Saban's character is how he just up and left LSU, which may have been illegal according to Louisiana civil and bayou law.

Not a single LSU fan gave him permission to take the Miami job; he just took it upon himself to do so. He didn't give a damn about LSU or their fans and his actions proved that.

Don't be surprised if this man, who can't stay in one place and has to continually roam from one job to another leaving shattered dreams and broken hearts along his primrose path, doesn't end up at A&M.

I enjoyed this post. It’s over the heads of many. The sarcasm aimed at the stupidity of “Saban to…” posts that have been part of the fabric of this message board for years.

No, I'm not retarded. You don't think coaches dream of winning NC's at two different institutions?

They call him “double down”

And he could also join the ranks of illustrious coaches such as Walter Camp, Pop Warner, and Urban Meyer to have NC's at 2 different universities.

Sorry…”triple down”

Yea, like when he turned down the NY Giants who offered him 12 mill and a stake in the team. Like when he turned down a reported 20 mill a year from the Longhorns? Like when he took a pay cut to leave the Dolphins to go to Bama?
He's in pretty good shape money wise and this whole post just reeks of a jilted LSU fan from years ago. I don't care what your username is.

He didn’t like NFL - nothing to do with Bama

Saban has admitted he never should have left LSU.

Bama was very fortunate & didn’t deserve the gift. Fu** him for reviving your sorry asses.

Let’s find out….

Gage his interest with this phrase…

“5 years. 125 Million.”

P.S. Gay&M would still frick it up.

Not true. He loves the game and he has an ego. The money is a distant 3rd, if that, at this point in his career. He could do hookers and blow on a massive yacht for the rest of his days and still not spend all of the money that he has.

But Saban is a mercenary. And you have to take into consideration his never staying at one job for more than a few years, at most. He's always looking for greener pastures and that's why he will never last at Bama.

Besides, Tuscaloosa is a dump city and Mrs. Terry hates it. The fans of Alabama have irrational expectations and are driving him crazy.

To the point about the money, once you have money, you only want more money. You don't get money and then quit wanting it; it doesn't work that way. He now needs more money to ensure that if he somehow loses what money he has, he will have more.

Saban to A&M is the only logical next step for him, honestly. Also, he's proven everything he ever wanted to at Alabama, now he likely wants to win a NC at a second school. Can you imagine what that would do for his ego?
