Let's be realistic; Saban could win at least another 2, maybe even 3 NC's at A&M.

If he's got titles left in him, he'll stay at Alabama. If he's done and washed up, then A&M is a very real possibility.

Washed up coaches who are done competing for any real titles are our bread and butter. We'll make his slide into irrelevance as lucrative as possible for him and his family.

I know this is a shitty attempt at a troll, but it will almost certainly be Elko, and that should concern the rest of the SEC.

As Saban ages, he isn't going to age into a mellow and forgetful older person who needs help with simple tasks.

Saban is one of those who is going to get meaner, more demanding, more cranky and provide even better results at whatever he does while knowing he has little time left.

Look for him to become even better and more successful as the years roll on.

Does A&M want to miss out on that?

I don't think your post is a shitty attempt at a troll at all. Don't be so hard on yourself. You are allowed to have your opinion.

Why would he tarnish his legacy like that?

Coaches leave A&M for Alabama to win national championships.

Coaches leave Alabama to A&M to be forgotten. Like what's his name.

It wouldn't be tarnishing his legacy, but burnishing it into a fine patina.

A&M needs Alabama's help, just like we once needed their help.

It's time for Alabama to repay them. Mama's calling Saban.

Bro is like Samson. But his strength comes from blood sugar and belly fat instead of his hair.

If he did not then it’s all about Saban and his ego. There is absolutely no reason to go to that hell hole.

Saban couldn't win one at A&M. Bear Bryant freaking couldn't.

Bryant was only at A&M for 3 years and won a SWC championship. When Bryant was the head coach at Vanderbilt, they didn't win a NC either but, Vandy was glad to have him. If he had stayed at either A&M or Vandy, he likely would have won a NC.

Modern A&M is a different animal though. Unlimited and disposable resources, a vibrant fan-base, and a real hunger for success from everyone involved in the football program.

The college football universe doesn't want to see Saban at A&M but, many Alabama fans and A&M fans think it would be wonderful.

Trolling aside, Bryant absolutely could have won a title at A&M, instead he essentially quit on A&M before the season ended. Bryant did us dirty in that 1957 season. Had A&M at #1 in the polls, and then showed up to A&M's practice in the suit he interviewed for Bama in, and didn't try to hide the fact that he was leaving A&M. Team fell apart after that, and Bryant was at Bama by the end of the year.

Saban is all about turning around flailing and floundering programs. That's his modus operandi; it's what he does.

And he could also join the ranks of illustrious coaches such as Walter Camp, Pop Warner, and Urban Meyer to have NC's at 2 different universities.

Not to even mention the money, which would be substantially more than Alabama could ever pay him. Alabama is poor. Saban only cares about money, period. That is why he has had so many different coaching jobs in his career. He never stays anywhere for very long.

I can almost guarantee that Saban is definitely in the mix to go to A&M; at the top of the list actually.

if he leaves then the Bama job would be the most sought after job in college football. You have one the top 2 most talented teams and an administration who will cater to your every need. This the only job where I can see any coach leaving for.
