Would Bama fans boo him if he went pro for a year....after saying he wasn't........ Then came back as the HC for Auburn a year later? Yea that's the hate we feel!!!

BUT... I wonder ... Florida has pretty rabid fans, yet I've never heard them go on and on, ad nauseum, for years and years about Spurrier going to South Carolina... etc.
I think what REALLY gets to my LSU friends is when they ask (they constantly do ask) what does the Alabama fan base think about LSU. I answer truthfully... "they don't, except maybe one week a year." God, the reaction is usually beyond anger and incredulous disbelief. I try to explain, but... see above about hubris etc.

No, but it would be pretty funny...though they would have to put him in a pope mobile-type vehicle with plexiglass on the sidelines for when he returns to Tiger Stadium.

But I don't hate Saban, I honestly respect everything he's done. He's a great coach and I don't think any LSU fan would deny that. I boo him, and that's because I boo everything. If Saban retires and comes back to honor the 03 national title team I'd applaud him. He coaches the enemy now though, and as long as he does that ill boo him.

I really wouldn't care too much if he went to another SEC team. At this point, he's most likely only going to coach about another 5 to 7 years or so. You'll have to give him 2 years to get his system in place. That leaves only a few really good years.
