Of course it is. Always has been always will be. Ever notice how when Bama beats the dogshit out of teams like Auburn, no one bats an eye. No news coverage. No one holds up any fingers. No slogans. BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE KING OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS SUPPOSED TO DO.

But oh boy, let one of you peasants (Auburn, LSU,) luck into a win against Bama and it's breaking fricking news all over the country

Gus' record against Saban was the only positive he had on his list of reasons to keep him.

Bammers aren’t handling the Gus firing very well.

You think Saban run Gus off? Really?

Look, Gus sucked as a coach and I’m glad he’s gone. But Gus was the only coach in the SEC who proved he could beat Saban on something approaching a regular basis.

Perhaps.

But Saban and Alabama started the financial arms race that has you now paying Gus a gazillion dollars to sit on his couch. If anyone forgot, go back and re-read the hubbub when Alabama hired Saban and paid him $4M. Everyone...including Auburn...felt the pressure to spend and keep up. That's why you...and other schools...way overpay for mediocre coaches. Then you expect him to meet that standard that's impossible to acheve.

Didn’t Saban lose the last 3 of 4 in Jordan Hare to Gus?

We just expected him to beat UGA and LSU more than he did. This isn’t that complicated. It’s hard for me to believe all Bama as are as dumb as they’re coming off in this thread but I’m starting to question that.

Auburn's entire football program focuses on beating Bama. Nothing else matters.

You Updykes are really melting over this

If that’s all that mattered to Auburn, Gus would have a lifetime contract.

Every few years we’re told some SEC coach is going to make old, worn out Saban hang it up. How many is this now?

I remember in 2014 we were told the game had “passed him by.” He continues to beat all their asses and will leave when he’s good and damn ready, likely with a few more rings.

Bad news for the SEC. They announced last week they had figured out how to use genetic therapy to reverse aging in mice. 85 year old Saban is going to look and feel like 40 year old Saban.

I know it’s tough for Bama fans, but it’s not always about you

Well, it was rather interesting that even though
you won a National Championship, for MANY LSU fans,
the bigger win was beating Bama---which most
of us found amazing.

Personally, I find it hilarious that little bro is about to be on their 4th head coach of the Saban era. Hard to swallow pills!
