Of course he will say that. He doesn't want his players leaving. When you are a young player, do you risk an injury ending your career and a shot at making millions in the NFL?

shite after Fournette had that monster game against Auburn in 2015, people jokingly said he should just sit out the remainder of the year and the following year so he wouldn't get hurt.

It would be hard to pass up. But he has plenty of examples of guys coming back and improving their draft stock. And greatly increasing their first year contracts.

Kids that have a chance to go out and attempt their first professional venture should do it when they decide it is the right time regardless of what a midget that is being paid lottery money every year has to say about it. He has an ulterior motive and that is to keep making lottery money every year on the backs of those same people.

If a kid tries and fails at his first professional endeavor, it does not mean he is spoiled for any other endeavor on the planet. It just means he has a little more motivation to go find the next one whether it be continuing his education or joining the workforce in some capacity.

If you do go, and sign a 5mil 4yr contract, least you can go back to school and finish your degree if the football thing doesn't work.

Flip side of that is you don't enter draft, stay for another year trying to up your stock, and you get hurt and tank your NFL dream.

That's easy for a $11 million coach to say.

No. What is easy to say is that players should never leave early for the NFL. Saban is telling them to be smart about it

What is 100 percent right for Saban is if every player returned.

I think the exception to this line of thinking is maybe injury prone players like Bo Scarborough that could easily frick up his whole career by staying. At that point its a gamble and likely just expands that number from 1st or 2nd round on down to 3rd or maybe 4th depending on the caliber of player.

Sometimes you just gotta get that money while its there to make sure you're in. Then if you over perform, you start jockeying for more money or a trade and move on up.

wow, and after reading through the comments. For fricks sake you lsu tRantards have got to be the most pathetic idiots I've ever seen.

Saban is the devil. Saban will say anything that benefits him. Saban will them anything to keep them workin for massah.

fricking idiots. lol If he was trying to frick them he'd be telling them all to stay. But he's not. He's telling them to be smart about it. Which is exactly what anyone with any business sense would tell you as long as the player isnt injury prone like I said earlier.

But yall cant stand him. Yall cant handle that he left yall and ended up with us. It's comical as frick but its also embarassing to the SEC. For real. Check that shite before we kick yalls asses to the SWAC or some shite.

I could honestly say that's another thing to consider. Would be nice to have a big back again next year but it's his decision to make. Of course, if Nick Saban gave me advice, I'd take it. 100%.

Totally agree with you. We see this more and more three years and done, even when they are recommended by scouts to remain in school and get their degree to have something else to fall on. Some are lucky to get a FA contract. They all want instant gratification paydays, even if they don’t grade out.

Its first or second round. Hell has frozen over because I actually agree with Satan on this.

Let’s say you are 3rd, 4th or 5th round but move up a round or bunch of picks playing your Senior Year. You just made millions for playing your Senior Year
