He also really enjoyed his time in Louisiana. In fact, he wishes he never left.

Yes. Alabama was playing a team that was undermanned. It's a testament to Brian Kelly's coaching that he was able to bring disadvantaged Notre Dame that far in the first place. Good thing he's at LSU now.

Saban is no idiot, he knows between Kirby and Kelly. He is not going to go out there and say anything about any other coahc that is bad and make his job even harder.

Before the past few seasons, Bama's quarterbacks were not anything special. I think the biggest difference in Bama's run was in the offensive line and scheme.

Do you even Brandon Avalos baw?!

But seriously, I cannot overstate how much Joe Pendry and his ilk have been missed.

And regarding the schemes, sure, but I think it was equally important that they have had a willingness to change. Most programs don't (without hiring a new head coach).

Coach O had no love for Saban, he would've loved to rip his throat out for the way he left lsu. O was loyal to Louisiana, Saban is only loyal to the program who will kiss his arse and put him on a pedestal, his ego is way bigger than his frame and plus it drives him to try to beat the Bear's record in W's

You're not entirely wrong, but the big difference is that they were consistent, protected the ball, were good game managers. They could get the ball to our playmakers. I was watching the 2014 Bama LSU game the other day, and it was amazing how bad LSU's QB play was, and has been for most of the last several years. If LSU had a competent QB in that game, they probably would've won comfortably

I agree with you there.

The great ones adapt. Saban's offensive evolution reminds me of Coach Bryant's adoption of the wishbone. Bryant dominated the 60s...had a little lull in the late 60s/early 70s and then was even more dominant the rest of the 70s. Only difference is that Saban didn't need to hit a lull to pivot his offensive philosophy.

You are named after a material often used for women’s sweaters, but you can not spell very well.

Coach speak at its finest.

What Saban is thinking are two different things.

'Well considering I've earholed his a$$ twice on a big stage I don't expect much to change. Now he'll do an outstanding job against State, Ole Miss, ya know, those types of teams but I haven't seen him beat anybody of note and certainly not anybody of our caliber".

So much so he never went back when you and I both know he could have at any time. All he had to do was make a phone call.

At least one…me, Nick Saban.
