As my drill sergeant use to say “the maximum effective range of an excuse is zero”.

Found a clip for you

So who do you think was clapping or making a noise similar to clapping.

We have multiple angles of the play.

SURELY I assume that there HAS be a UM player slapping his pads or someone making a clap sound.

That's not what he said. Watch the interview with Pat McAfee. Saban clearly say's that no one from Michigan was clapping.

From what I can tell I'm not so sure he's talking about the final play. I think the last play was just a low snap but I'm not 100% positive.

Looks to me like he's saying the Center was delusional.

He had a meeting with the center after the Rose Bowl. Shortly thereafter he enters the transfer portal.
Saban threw the center under the bus,

always an excuse
that's all we need is for refs to start calling more penalties
they called enough of that this year though

If you took the time to read the interview, you would know it wasn't an excuse. He was explaining Seth's mindset. He even says that UM defensive players were not clapping, and that Seth needed to do better.

It's a hard sell to say any Bama fan is making excuses for our Center. Everyone is pretty relieved he is transferring after watching him yeet the ball into the backfield all season

This is soft.

They would've called it.

But he said his center thought he heard clapping or noise.

One could:

1. Check vid of play pre snap to see if there was slapping of pads.
2. Actual clapping nearby since clapping on the sideline would sound different.
3. Did he actually hear Milroes clap?

“Some people did some things” according to Saban. It needs to be investigated.
Or as you say, it was his mindset.

Which is it? Because the first thing you ask after that play is “what happened?”.

And then you explain that in the post game interview, which was not even mentioned when asked about that particular play.
…….if you took time to see the question on post game interview.

He also said he didn't think it was intentional, and laid full blame on how many times our center has had problems.

I can see either viewpoint after reading the interview... but I took it to mean "Seth was hearing clapping noises all year... because he is crazy"

I think he was explaining that the Center had some issues, not that he had issues with how the referees were policing pre-snap noise

Saban needs to worry about cleaning up his QB issues and staff more than anything else.

Yeah, the problem wasn't just timing... over half of Seth's snap were off target.

I'm waiting for "We should be playing Michigan again this week"

1. Lost on last play of the game.
2. Would be favored over Washington.

The clapping thing needs to go. NFL teams use the right guard to watch for the QB signal, then he flashes his hand to the center. Defenders have to be able to make signals to their teammates as well.

Maybe he's saying that Milroe can field snaps off the ground if he knows when they're coming.
