So Alabama has a better coaching staff now
100%. Saban was a recruiter and an organizer. He made several hires he never should have made and he won on mostly talent, not coaching schemes. Deboer got to where he is by coaching up the talent he had. Huge difference is their styles.

That means Grubb is almost certainly terrible.
Saban had no idea how to hire an OC because he didn't understand offense. So most hires OC hires were bad. But sometimes he got lucky with Sark and Kifffin. It was literally a roll of the dice.

Most Bama fans would disagree with you and call me negative because I am not singing Saban's praises. He had his strengths and weaknesses. If he couldn't out talent someone, he'd rarely out coach them.

Definitely will, I watched Caleb Downs move in and out of Athens in a matter of hours. Don't get your hopes up too high, buddy. ;)

Do y’all understand that Saban was the goat at preparation, the process, elite athletes, etc. I mean we can look at highly talented teams and see that just because you have the talent doesn’t mean you have a better team. Jimbo had the highest rated team recently and we see he that worked out.

My guy….

Deboer took a group of three and four stars to the NC game. They also whooped a Texas team that beat Alabama the game before that.

The dude is 7-0 against Riley, Lanning, and Sark and he had less talent than them on the field in every game.

As much bitching as I’ve done about Rees, I’ll have to admit in hindsight he was handcuffed by the inability to snap a football. No telling how much of the playbook was torn out and tossed because of that.

So I’d recommend amending that to “probably terrible” in his case. If however he insisted he keep the starting center in that role you could promote him to “worst assistant Nick ever hired WTF was he thinking”

That sounds a little bit like you in case you haven’t looked in the mirror lately.

LOL!

It’s all you fricktards have talked about to a week. Allmof you are praying so hard that he fails that you can’t e en look
Objectively at what is happening. The guy is a winner and he will win at Alabama. 85% of the players we have lost would have never played at Bama with any real time on the field. Yes we lost a few key players that are being replaced in the portal. This team beat allmof you and Georgia this year and made the playoffs. Georgia has a great team
No doubt but Alabama is still better than the rest of the teams in the SEC and it’s not real close!

saban also hired Golding and Rees.

ETA It's hilarious watching bama fans still trying to convince themselves this was a good HC hire.

Just don’t crash when this thing comes back down to reality….I’m a little bit worried for you. Bama will bounce back, just going to take some time. Maybe that’s what you guys need. I expect LSU to hopefully be playing in a national championship game every 4 to 5 years. That’s much healthier than thinking it should be every year. You guys should try it. And then when it does happen, you appreciate it even so much more.

ok so Sark leaves after 2020

Saban needs an OC and he wants the OC at Fresno State?

Probably not.

But if you said he wanted him last year i’d believe that.

You hear it all the time, even Nick said it, He was the greatest recruiter of all time. You buy players now. Recruiting doesn’t mean shite unless you have the cash. I don’t know about Bama’s new staff, but everyone shitting on Bama should get a grip. The whore players on your team don’t give a frick about your town, Coach or University either. This new era is nothing to be happy about even if you hate Alabama and love college football.

There are some SEC teams that are stacked (Texas, Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia, etc).

Only 2 of those teams have as much or more talent than Bama. You clearly don’t follow recruiting or you haven’t checked out Bama’s current roster. Even after these transfers have left, Bama is still loaded.

So, you're telling us that as bama fans cry and bemoan the loss of countless tide players to the transfer portal, throwing tantrums and saying it isn't fair they are, at the same time, hanging their hopes of piecing together a roster on......raiding another team's roster by way of the same transfer portal?

Have to play the hand you're dealt.

think we may actually be better! If he signs that center this weekend from Washington the offensive line improves 50% right out of the gate. Dude is a redshirt freshmen that started all 15 games for them this year and was awarded All American. Has brought in two giants already from Texas A&M and signed them and a corner from USC. Our team had dropped off the last couple Of years and I think we are about to be better!

Wow, look at this sunshine pumping SOB
