saban schedules the bye before LSU every year for the last... 8 years?

Where does your bye always seem to fall again?

Yes its true but Saban said it

Rather than just trolling it's pretty obvious if you watch some of the film we had tired players.
Cam Robinson looked asleep out there. We had an offensive penalty on just about every scoring drive.
I remember an early third and short where Ragland half assed it and Dobbs got the edge on him for a first down.
All game long you could see it. That doesn't take away from UT they played a great game but there defense didn't make many plays Bama just shot themselves in the foot quite often. I think a big reason for that is Kiffin's complex playcalling/formations. Hard to get develop any type of rhythm.

I've said before if we would stagger the starts for a week that there is no reason why a bye week could not be scheduled every four weeks which would ensure no team had an advantage with bye weeks and also is an acceptable range of games to protect players from fatigue. Auburns used to be the most ridiculous at a bye before the last week of the season. That's too long.

I think that it's hilarious how much LSU fans have whined over the past how many ever years about scheduling, and when Saban makes a comment about players being tired because of a rigid schedule, they act like he is crazy
Wasn't Saban pushing for a 9 game SEC schedule? Sounds more like a hypocrite. LSU has had the same bye week(1st week of November) since before Saban's arrival at LSU. 1998 I believe.
Actually now that I think about it, we might have had our bye week 2nd week in 07. Either way, Bama/LSU generally have had their bye week the same week since he arrived in Tuscaloosa. So he should be used to it by now.

I wish the refs were asleep for LSU this past weekend. Zero home cooking the past 2 weeks is unacceptable.

Really? You don't think football players get fatigued muscles? You don't think some of them are playing through injuries right now? Clearly you have never played football.
Are you retarded? All humans get tired. But kids recover quickly. What does saban want, less than an 8 game season? Point is, every other college deals with the same shite!
LSU hasn't had a week off and played in a torrential downpour which is more tiring than turf.....if we would have not shown up, it wouldn't have been fatigue.

You don't think any of them lost sleep over Tenpenny's death? We all want to believe that these players are machines, but they are not. I imagine the death of a teammate loomed heavy on them, particularly since the funeral was on Saturday. I imagine i wouldn't be very productive if I had to work through a buddy's funeral.
So now it's another excuse. Dude, when you enter the stadium., there are no more thoughts of others. NO, absolutely not, not one okay, good or bad, happened because of thoughts of Tennpenny.
I didn't notice any tennpenny tears after the game as all were ducking partying smoking celebratory cigars after barely beating a mediocre team AT HOME.
Tenn had a chance at the win and Saban blames the schedule.....LOL

I'm starting to think this Bama team just doesn't care. We already have a loss. It's really sad.

I wonder what the ratio of threads on What Saban said vs. what all 13 other coaches said. I'm thinking 2 to 1

Substitute more. Alabama has the most talented roster in college ball. Use it.
They won't look tired for LSU.

I assure you

Difference is that LSU wishes it didn't the first game cancelled. Fournette would be Mr. 2k if he had an extra creampuff to run for 150+ against
Since we're playing hypotheticals, it's also an extra game he could've been injured in. And if it was the first game, that could've been LSU's season

If Bama played LSU after week 3 and played ULM after week 8 do you really think that Saban schedules the same bye week because "he likes the bye in the middle of the season."
Saban would not take a bye week after 3 games no matter who was next on the schedule. If you think otherwise you are just misinformed.

I shutter to think what damage Fournette would do to deadlegged Bama players. Still, Saban shouldn't bring that weak stuff, Tenn outplayed them. Les Miles doesn't use weak sauce.
quote:
''We were tired out there, dead-legged,'' Saban said. ''Didn't look very quick, didn't look very fast. Didn't have a lot of energy like we usually do. I think that's playing eight games in a row."

So basically, he's not giving any credit to UT for the way they played. Good sport

Yeh, he's a good one. He even credited Tenn for competing against his "dead-legged football team".
Saban's thoughts "I afraid to think what damage LSU's Fournette would do to my team of deadlegged Bama players."
