Yahoo Sports - Alabama coach Nick Saban said he could tell his team was getting weary in Saturday's 19-14 win over Tennessee on Henry's 14-yard touchdown with 2:24 left followed by a forced fumble.

''We were tired out there, dead-legged,'' Saban said. ''Didn't look very quick, didn't look very fast. Didn't have a lot of energy like we usually do. I think that's playing eight games in a row."

Hasn't LSU played that many in a row as well?

Not everybody gets 2 bye weeks and extra home games. Oh, and Bama won.

Is what he said incorrect?

From what I saw, he is spot-on.

He makes a good point. The NCAA should look into the scheduling. There should be at least 6 days in between games for players to rest.

Not when you count the game that didn't happen.

So, he's crying about a win? That's rich.

It's a combination of being tired, beat up, and looking forward to the biggest game of the year.

That and TN probably played a little over their head.

Difference is that LSU wishes it didn't the first game cancelled. Fournette would be Mr. 2k if he had an extra creampuff to run for 150+ against

I think that it's hilarious how much LSU fans have whined over the past how many ever years about scheduling, and when Saban makes a comment about players being tired because of a rigid schedule, they act like he is crazy.

It's tough playing teams that want to be your new rival week in and week out.

Doesn't Alabama and LSU schedule their bye on purpose though? So wouldn't that mean Saban chose this?

One day, LSU fan will get over their butthurt from Nick leaving them at the alter. But I guess it won't be today.
