Alabama destroyed Wisconsin, a team Indiana was in a dogfight with until the 3rd Quarter.
Indiana has played nobody outside of Ohio State and Oregon who themselves have played no one. They are the equivalent of Vandy.

The luckiest thing to happen to Alabama is Wallace Wade over 100 years ago. From that moment on we made our iwn luck. Bear come to Bama because Wallace Wade won the Rose bowl 100 years ago. No way Saban doesn't go to T-town if Bear hadn't done what he did.

Imagine Clemson getting penalized for offensive PI at the end in 2016 and Alabama winning.
Imagine Griffith making the FG against Auburn in 2013 and Bama going on to win the national championship.
Imagine Alabama holding that 4th quarter lead against Florida in the SECCG in 2008 and then beating Ohio State.
Imagine Kiffin continuing to feed Derrick Henry against Ohio State in 2014 when they were up 21-10 and Bama going on to win.
Seems to me that everyone else is lucky that Saban didn't win 10 national championships. He very easily could have. Either of my scenarios could have played out just as easily as yours.

We had a backup QB that could come in and win a national championship game in 2017. Why didn't you in 2009?
