In my experience, LSU fans call themselves the nicest and seem to suffer the delusion they are gracious hosts.

I think the biggest factor here is the home team’s fanbase’s expectations (and result of game)
If a team is falling apart and sucks, they’re probably going to be nice to fans of a superior team. Same if the home team is going to crush the away team.
It gets more iffy when the home team fans expect to upset or win a close game, especially against a rival or if the SEC division is on the line.

For the most part bad fan behavior is in the eye of the beholder. Sh!t talk or saying naughty words is offensive to some people, no big deal to others, and actually fun or funny to another group of folks.
I will say that most people don't see bad behavior from their home crowd because A) They aren't looking for it and B) They aren't exposed to every single visiting fan that comes to their games.
Do people do bad things. Yes. Do people make stuff up. Yes. But for the most part it is some small thing that the home fan shouldn't have done and the visiting fan shouldn't get worked up about.

Not the fans but Fla. & the Vols tie for the worst stadium marshals. They literally look for shite to jump on the visiting fans. Not Nazi-like but pretty close.

The Blackout was the worst environment I have ever been in. Had to hold my wife and daughter in laws hand to get out! It's has got worse with each return trip since then.
Only thing that keeps me from knocking hell out of one of you guys is Clarke County jail.

Some just strictly go to Little Rock games.
Others just go tailgating to get drunk but not go to the games.
It used to be a much better experience in the 90s/2000s.

I have been to plenty of games in Fayetteville.
I haven't seen that many issues and Arkansas fans have been beatdown so many times that even in the good years they are mellowed out.
The worst ones were the Bama fans. Nothing serious but just had a very high opinion of themselves.
One story I heard was before the game both Bama and Arkansas fans were riding together in a Razorback transit bus headed for the stadium.
One Bama fan told the Arkansas fans, "I don't why you Arkansas fans bother to show up, you're gonna lose anyway."
I had one Bama tell me back in 2014 how good of a game Arkansas played, he walked away turned his head and said but the game was never in doubt.

I can only assume you are basing this on this board? I get it. Any time a team starts winning people start alters. (Look at Alabama fans, etc) and yes, some actual fans start acting the fool, too.
But, in all honesty, have you checked a lot of LSU fans on this board? How have LSU fans earned more than Georgia fans.
That said...I suspect some of the worst LSU fans on here are alters, too.

I don’t want to put Aggies on here, but I have to. Most are nice people, but watching a cadet chew out an 8 year old for not knowing all the gay traditions (walking on the grass in the quad) boiled my blood.
